This role sits in the middle of our production backbone. You will own and improve the systems that keep our platform available, observable, secure, and resilient as traffic grows and our client base expands globally. You will work across infrastructure, tooling, deployment workflows, incident response, and systems design to make sure we can scale without breaking.

This is not a ticket closing operations role. We want someone who can look at a system, find the weak points, and harden it. • Meet the necessary standards of quality/technical excellence and delivery time commitments consistent with the demands of each project.
• Development of 2D CAD design drawings and 3D Revit models working in close collaboration with Revit BIM team colleagues. An emphasis upon design coordination and clash detection with MEP services is particularly important.
• Representing RED ICT at technical and design team meetings, meetings with customers, professional design teams and contractor teams.
• Ensure that specifications, drawings, and calculations meet the project design brief, industry, legal and quality standards.
• Adopt a holistic view in the selection and application of ICT infrastructure design concepts and solutions.
• Coordination of ICT design with related engineering disciplines, e.g., electrical, and mechanical.
• Work towards a timely successful team output and production.
• Participation in meetings with the client and relevant project stakeholders.
• Develop a clear understanding of client requirements from both a technical and operational standpoint.
• Undertake peer and QA review of drawings (typically cabling systems, containment, cabinet elevation, comms room layout, active network diagrams).

Job Requirements

Either:

• Degree in Engineering with at least 2 years’ appropriate experience in ICT infrastructure design engineering

Or:

• Diploma in Engineering, HNC/HND or CNIDP with at least 4 years appropriate experience in ICT infrastructure design.
• Appropriate experience includes:
• Data cabling manufacture/contracting
• IT /IP network systems integration
• Network technology vendor/manufacturer
• IT/Multi-disciplinary consulting firm
• Construction project management

Desirable:

• Previous project experience in ICT infrastructure design for data centre construction; commercial building construction.

• Be the point of contact for servicedesk
• Provide 1st and 2nd level support to troubleshoot IT issues
• Provide assistance & support to IT Projects
• Assist in the daily running of data center and server management
• Assist in procurement, document control, asset tracking & administration.

Requirements:

• 2 - 5 years of IT Technical, end-user support working experience
• Experience in creating user’s account and mailboxes on AD and Exchange
• Good knowledge on antivirus management e.g. Windows Defender, Symantec, McAfee
• Good knowledge on repair PCs and notebooks such as O/S and Office Application troubleshooting
• Good knowledge in diagnostic of hardware issues on PCs and notebooks
• Knowledge in vendor management such like negotiation of pricing, vendor quotation, etc
• Able to work independently as well as in a group
• Good organization, communication and interpersonal skills

a) Design, implement, and maintain complex infrastructure integration solutions spanning cloud environments (primarily AWS) and on-premises systems.

b) Develop and maintain automation scripts, tools, and Infrastructure as Code using Ansible and Terraform to streamline integration processes and enhance operational efficiency.

c) Manage and optimise Unix/Linux systems, services, and Elasticsearch clusters for comprehensive log management and analysis.

d) Implement robust monitoring solutions using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, and Zabbix for infrastructure and applications, ensuring high availability and optimal performance of critical business components.

e) Deploy and manage containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS) environments, including day-to-day cluster operations and maintenance.

f) Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to identify integration requirements, develop comprehensive technical solutions, and implement DevOps best practices using CI/CD pipelines.

g) Troubleshoot and resolve complex network, system, and application issues whilst minimising disruption to business operations.

h) Execute cloud migration strategies from on premises to cloud environments, including planning and implementation phases.
