Job Summary

The first six years of a child's life shape everything that follows. For children from lower-income families, what happens in that window determines the trajectory. KidSTART exists to change those odds: personal home-based support, delivered by trained practitioners, built on evidence, and scaled nationally.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Assistant Director for Programme Development, you will lead the thinking behind how KidSTART works, and where it is headed. You own the service model and the operational policies that govern how practitioners support families. You work directly with MSF in the strategic direction and hold accountability for programme outcomes across a network of implementing agencies, while also looking ahead to develop new or better services and programmes to better serve children from lower-income and/or vulnerable families.

This is not an execution role. It is the role that decides what gets executed. You will need to hold along view of what a good early childhood programme looks like on a national scale, while staying close enough to implementation to know when the model is not working.

Funder and Agency Accountability

  Requirements & Competencies
• Experience: 10–15 years in high-performance sport, athlete pathway development, or programme leadership roles. Proven success in building or managing structured talent identification and development systems.
• Strong understanding of Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) and high-performance sport systems.
• Deep appreciation of Singapore’s sports ecosystem, including academic pressures, National Service obligations, and socio-cultural factors.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, particularly with coaches, schools, Sport Singapore, HPSI, and other agencies.
• Analytical, structured, and outcome-focused mindset with the ability to balance ambition and practicality.
• Experience within Singapore’s sports or education sectors is advantageous.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Director / Assistant Director / Senior Manager to lead the Finance department of the Gain City group of companies.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the financial health and performance of the group through robust financial planning, effective cost management and timely reporting. You will oversee the budgeting and forecasting process, ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and maintain strong internal controls across all financial operations. Beyond these, you will guide investment decisions, evaluate business performance and support long-term growth strategies. You will also lead initiatives to streamline processes, leveraging technology and data to enhance financial transparency and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Review existing processes and organisational structures to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, automation and enhanced business partnering
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across financial systems, reporting tools and operational processes to improve efficiency, accuracy and scalability
• Deliver timely and actionable financial analysis and insights to support decision-making
• Develop, track and interpret key financial and operational metrics to enable proactive management of business performance
• Evaluate commercial opportunities, support margin improvement strategies and ensure alignment with financial performance targets
• Ensure the adoption of best practices and maintain a forward-looking and data-driven approach
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to align financial strategies with overall corporate objectives

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance, including FP&A and financial control
• Proven leadership experience, with a strong track record of building and developing high-performing finance teams
• In-depth knowledge of SFRS, tax regulations and statutory compliance
• Demonstrated success in driving process improvements
• Strong experience in cost management and leading efficiency initiatives
• Hands-on experience with financial and ERP systems, including accounting, inventory management and payroll platforms
• Experience in multi-site retail, e-commerce or FMCG sectors is advantageous
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Product Definition – Drive the customer working backwards strategy, tenets, long-term goals and working backwards documents (press release, FAQ) including customer feedback, competitive analysis and business metrics to inform direction. E.g., evaluate new use-cases for distributed scheduling, new continuous deployment product.
• Define Product Roadmap – Including all aspects to future roadmap, investment, innovation, and experimentation.
• Execution of Product Planning and Development – Including customer goals and business requirements for product release, ensuring implementation is aligned with product goals and requirements, and ownership of product positioning.
• Drive Product Launch – Drive GTM delivery, ensuring the customer and business goals are met in operational launch plans.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• Min. 7 years of previous work experience as a Product Manager, preferably in a technical product management role
• Demonstrated success collaborating with design and engineering peers to lead a product development team
• Comfortable with Agile processes, with an emphasis on creating backlogs that support the product roadmap
• Proven ability to influence and/or lead a cross-functional team without direct authority
• Ability to translate customer needs into a product roadmap
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex problems and roadmaps to stakeholders
• Ability to define a value driven business case for new products and KPIs to track success of new product
• Ability to engage with and influence stakeholders outside their direct control
• Proven ability to lead by example, with a positive attitude

• Knowledge of multiple functional areas such as product management, engineering, user experience, user research, sales, trading, treasury, customer support or marketing
• Experience with Amazon’s Working Backwards process and drafting narratives/PRFaqs in clear, concise manner
• Familiar with machine learning and data products

Purpose of role:

The position is a coverage role purposed to : (1) Lead the coverage strategy for the institutional investor segment in Singapore in conjunction with the Head of Financial Institutions Singapore and the Head of Institutional Investor Coverage for APAC; (2) Implement and execute the strategy; (3)  actively manage and pursue relationships with Institutional Investors active in Singapore as part of the Financial Institutions and broader Global Corporate & Institutional Banking business strategy. Principal focus will be applied to the origination and development of sustainable, multi-product relationships and a material uplift in revenue generation from the portfolio.

This resource will be the key driver in managing the funds and financial sponsors business in Singapore, own and be accountable for internal product/structuring discussions and managing client requirements as well managing a team of Institutional Investor RMs and ARMs. They will be familiar with the sector’s buying behaviour and well-versed in the common structures employed or products purchased by these funds/sponsors, including but not limited to subscription call financing, NAV-based lending structures, backleverage, portfolio hedging solutions and fund administration requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

Strategic       

• Implement the strategy for the Institutional Investors clients segment with the relevant stakeholders (other regional coverage team, product and second line functions);
• Engage with the senior stakeholders and rally the necessary support for its implementation
• Management of target clients through implementation of a deep account planning process;
• Work with product partners to market & deliver the Bank’s worldwide products and services;

Financial

• Achieve Revenue target at segment and client levels
• Manage balance sheet and achieve above target ROE

Customer

• To actively identify, develop and promote new business and relationship management with client groups in cross selling a healthy product mix.
• To ensure accounts plans are maintained, fit for execution and regularly reviewed.   
• Introduce clients to MUFG affiliates and partner banks; explore new opportunities as One MUFG                 
• Enhance Cross-Regional activities, by collaborating with local RMs/GRMsb                                                  
• Credit responsibility for client portfolio.
• Timely preparation of all credit applications, reviews, covenant compliance checks, approval negotiations with the Client and with the Bank’s Regional or Head Office, as well as documentation negotiations

People

• Manage a team of RMs and ARMs focussed on Institutional Investor Coverage

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years in banking industry comprising minimum 5 years covering FIG in a combination of coverage, analyst or product role.
• Minimum 3 years as a Relationship Manager or funds finance specialist role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of fund finance solutions and structured financings
• Credit analysis skills

• Professional certification such as CFA/CAIA are advantageous
