In order to improve the New Product Development process, TE is expanding our Artificial Intelligence capabilities as a part of our Digitalization strategy to improve efficiency, decrease cost, and decrease time to market.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Run multiple projects in developing data science solutions to support new product development in TE
• Adopt cutting-edge data science techniques (using in-house coding tools or commercial software) to solve engineering problems (such as product design, manufacturing process development, material formulation, etc.)
• Develop multiple algorithms powered by machine learning and generative AI to work on experimental and simulation data sets
• Work in a multi-disciplinary environment with specialists in data science, mechanical engineering, material science, mechanics, additive manufacturing and other fields
• Collaborate with multiple business units to define deliverable, requirements, and functionalities.
• Create awareness across TE of the AI modelling capabilities of the Singapore center
• Work with local and global TE sites, and external customers and partners, to address urgent or strategic needs
• Partner with Singapore research institutes to develop advanced AI techniques, and assist with validation and knowledge transfer of outsourced projects

Qualifications:

Required:

• Master degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related) with 3-4 years (or Bachelor degree with 4-6 years) plus relevant working/research experience
• Keen interest in R&D involving coding and data
• Deep understanding of data science and artificial intelligence (having a second degree on data science is a plus)
• Broad understanding of multiphysics simulation (such as finite element analysis) along with experience in CAD (such as generative design)
• Strong programming skill in Python or similar languages
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes, material and product design
• Experience in effective project management strategies and tactics

Preferred:

• Familiarity with TE products (connectors, cables, sensors etc.) and manufacturing process, (molding, extrusion, plating, stamping, assembly)
• Familiarity with project management tools

• Focus and responsibility for after sales quality related tasks
• Responsible for setting up improvement activities on dedicated products.
• Driving Product Quality Circle within dedicated parties (Sustaining Teams, Platform leaders, HOD’s ..)
• Central part of improvement team in sense of input, coordinator, support on dedicated tasks.
• Supporting escalation in the after sales area (NPI or customer escalation)
• Participating in customer quality calls and task force meeting.
• Close collaboration with the product line & technical support according to the learning's out of onsite trouble shooting and raising preventive knowledge within the organisation.
• Lead all project related documentation and ensure communication (8D-Report, action plans and follow up)
• Initiating and supporting product related analysis
• Interaction with production facility
• Participate customer audits and customer improvement programs.
• Preparation of after sales data and KPI monitoring and reporting.
   

Education

• Minimum Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Machining related with 3 years working experience in similar industry.
• Knowledge in project management and Quality Tools

Work experience

• Good understanding of reliability theories & methods (DFMEA, SPC, 8Ds…) and semiconductor manufacturing processes,
• Experienced in quality methods, data analysis and continuous improvement.
• Being in a driver role and push improvements,
• Fast ability to understand company structure and interact with many interfaces
   

Expertise and methodology

• Knowledge in process management for product related business processes, specifically design, engineering, SCM and production (i. e. operational)
• Familiarity with cleanroom protocols (class 10/100) and semiconductor workflows
• Competency in MS-office for data analysis, reporting & presentation
• Familiarity with the Atlassian JIRA system

• Mobile Architecture &Development: Design, build, and maintainhigh-performance, reusable, and reliable native Android applications using Kotlinand Java.
• Backend Integration: Develop, optimize, and maintain scalable backend services andserverless components using Java Spring Boot and AWS Lambda tosupport mobile application features.
• Cross-Platform Engineering: Leverage Flutter and Dart when necessary to build,maintain, and support cross-platform initiatives and multi-modulearchitectures.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, coupled with a minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience delivering enterprise-scale software solutions and providing technical leadership within Agile engineering teams of 6–12+ members.
• Advanced expertise in native Android application development utilizing Kotlin and Java, with deep proficiency in modern architectural patterns (MVVM/Clean Architecture), Dependency Injection frameworks (Dagger2/Hilt), Reactive Programming (RxJava/RxAndroid), concurrency management, performance optimization, and local persistence technologies including Room and SQLite.
• Strong cross-platform mobile engineering capabilities using Flutter and Dart, with proven experience implementing scalable, maintainable application architectures, advanced state management patterns (BloC), reusable component libraries, and CI/CD-driven mobile delivery pipelines.
• Extensive backend and cloud engineering experience in designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native, microservices-based applications using Java Spring Boot, AWS Lambda, RESTful and GraphQL APIs, event-driven architectures, and distributed system design principles.
• Demonstrated expertise in cloud data platforms and integration technologies, including Firebase Firestore, Firebase Realtime Database, API security frameworks, authentication and authorization mechanisms, automated testing using Espresso and Mockito, and end-to-end software quality assurance practices.
• Possesses exceptional analytical, troubleshooting, and technical leadership capabilities with a proven track record of resolving complex asynchronous system issues, optimizing application scalability and reliability, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality, product-focused digital solutions.
