About Skadi Offshore
Skadi Offshore is a growing offshore and subsea services company focused on delivering safe, efficient and commercially successful offshore projects throughout Asia. The company provides project management, engineering, procurement and offshore execution services to the offshore energy industry, with strategic focus on mooring installation, subsea construction, inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR), and offshore asset integrity services.
As part of its growth strategy, Skadi Offshore is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the execution of offshore projects and support the development of the company's offshore installation and subsea IMR business lines.
Position Summary
The Project Manager shall be responsible for the overall management and successful delivery of offshore projects from tender handover through project close-out.
The successful candidate will support the execution of offshore installation, subsea construction and inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR) projects across the Asia-Pacific region while contributing to the continued growth and development of Skadi Offshore's service offerings.
The role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, offshore execution experience and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead the execution of offshore projects in accordance with contractual, technical, HSE and commercial requirements.
- Assume full responsibility for project delivery including safety, quality, schedule and financial performance.
- Develop project execution plans, schedules, resource plans and risk management strategies.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, cash flow and cost control.
- Ensure project margins and financial objectives are achieved.
- Identify, manage and mitigate project risks and opportunities.
Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout project execution.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Manage client expectations and ensure timely communication of project progress.
- Lead project review meetings, progress meetings and client presentations.
Offshore Execution
Commercial & Contract Management
- Manage contractual obligations and deliverables.
- Review and negotiate subcontract agreements.
- Lead variation order, claim and change management processes.
- Monitor project commercial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
Team Leadership
- Lead multidisciplinary project teams consisting of engineering, procurement, operations, HSE, QA/QC and commercial personnel.
- Mentor and develop junior project staff.
- Promote a strong safety and performance culture within the organisation.
Business Development Support
- Support tendering and proposal activities.
- Participate in client meetings and technical clarifications.
- Assist in identifying new business opportunities and market developments within the offshore and subsea sectors.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Offshore survival certification (BOSIET / FOET) preferred.
Experience Requirements
Mandatory
- Minimum 12 years of offshore oil & gas or offshore energy industry experience.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
- Previous employment with a recognised offshore EPCI, subsea or marine contractor.
- Proven experience managing offshore installation projects in Asia.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience.
Highly Preferred
- Experience managing offshore mooring installation projects.
- Experience managing Inspection, Maintenance and Repair (IMR) projects.
- Experience working on offshore projects in Asia
- Experience managing offshore vessel spreads and marine operations.
- Experience with ROV-based inspection and intervention campaigns.
