Role Summary

The Junior Buyer/Buyer supports purchasing and stock coordination of fashion. This role focuses on executing purchase orders, monitoring inventory levels, conducting basic market and sales analysis, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure smooth daily retail operations.

This role is ideal for a proactive and self-driven individual who is comfortable managing responsibilities independently.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing and Purchasing

·       Source products inline with company direction and category requirements.

·       Prepare and process purchase orders accurately.

·       Perform basic margin checks before order confirmation.

·       Follow up on order confirmations and agreed delivery timelines.

Inventory Monitoring

·      Monitor stock levels and highlight low-stock or overstock situations.

·      Support replenishment planning based on sales performance.

·      Review slow-moving items and recommend corrective actions.

Market and Sales Analysis

·       Monitor competitor pricing and promotional activities.

·       Analyze sales trends and SKU/category performance.

·       Provide insights to support purchasing and replenishment decisions.

Reporting & Data Management

·       Compile weekly and monthly merchandising reports.

·       Maintain accurate product performance tracking.

·       Ensure product information and pricing are updated correctly.

Vendor Coordination& Commercial Support

·       Maintain professional and solution-oriented communication with suppliers and all stakeholders.

·       Follow up on shipment status and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

·       Coordinate with warehouse and store teams on stock arrivals.

·       Escalate pricing discrepancies, cost increases, or quality issues when required.

Compliance &Quality

·       Ensure products meet company, industry, and regulatory requirements.

Others

·       Perform any other duties reasonably related to the role as assigned by the line manager.

Requirement:

·       Diploma or Degree in Business, Retail, Marketing, or related field.

·       1–3 years of relevant experience in retail, merchandising, or purchasing support.

·       Strong numerical ability and comfortable working with data and Excel.

·       Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage tasks independently.

·       Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

·       Demonstrates professionalism and builds positive working relationships with suppliers and cross-functional teams.

·       Interest in retail fashion is an advantage.
