Job Responsibilities:
In-charge Shop Development, Shop Operations and Wholesale department;

① Shop Development with Japanese bakery concept
• Planning, execution and evaluation to sustenance marketing and PR activities for new shop opening.
• Identifying and mapping business strengths and customers' needs.
• Market research and competitors' analysis in both Singapore and Malaysia.

②Shop Operation
• New item costing calculation and decision making to improvise profitable items and/or eliminate non-sellable items.
• To provide the monthly P&L analysis for all shops, incorporating insights gained from customer service to highlight performance and ideas for resolutions and improvements.
• Negotiate with shops' landlord for reviewing existing/ new leasing contract agreement.
• Introduce innovative method to improve shop operation (cashless etc).
• Evaluates and analysis all the current processes and provides recommendations on improvements.


Job Requirements:
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in Bakery industry.
• Possess qualification of Bachelors' Degree in Economics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Japanese language, both written and spoken (as required to communicate with Japanese-speaking Management to interpret data, insights and present findings).
• Willing to work on weekends and public holidays when assigned.
• Must be able to travel on regular basis to subsidiary companies in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur & Penang) for market and business review).

As an expert consultant to bakeries, you will oversee various aspects of production, recipe development and quality control to ensure the creation of high-quality pastry products. Your role will involve both operational management and innovation to drive consistency, creativity and will also contribute to the company's growth and menu items that appeal to a diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

▶️Quality & Monitoring
• Regularly monitor and assess the quality of buns and other bakery products produced in the central kitchen and distributed across various outlets.
• Implement and oversee stringent quality control measures to ensure consistency and adherence to company's standards.

▶️Training & Staff Development
• Conduct training sessions for bakers and other production staffs to ensure consistent quality in all products.
• Provide ongoing support and mentorship to bakery staffs, reinforcing best practices in both production techniques and product presentation.

▶️Recipe Development & Implementation
• Take the lead on implementing, promoting and improving new and existing product lines, ensuring they align with market trends and customers' preferences.
• Assist in creating promotional strategies that highlight new items, leveraging their potential to boost sales.

▶️Production Support & Crisis Management
• Stand in as a baker and resume full production duties during emergencies or staffing shortages, ensuring that operations continue smoothly without compromising quality.

▶️Collaborate & Continuous Improvement

Job Responsibilities:

▶️General Accounting Operations
• Manage the full sets of accounts, including AR, AP and GL.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Verify and review invoices before payment processing.
• Ensure invoices are properly recorded in the accounting system.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliation and intercompany reconciliations.
• Ensure completeness of sales transactions recorded (receipt vouchers and journal vouchers).
• Assist with internal and external audits (including lease and assets documentation).

▶️Tax & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including GST, withholding tax, corporate income tax and tax filings.
• Ensure accurate computation of tax liabilities and maintain supporting schedules.
• Coordinate with tax agents and auditors for statutory audits and tax submissions.
• Stay updated with changes in local tax and ensure the company complies with applicable financial regulations.

▶️Lease Accounting Specialists
• Maintain and update lease schedules in accordance with SFRS 116/ IFRS 16.
• Record and monitor lease liabilities, right-of-use (ROU) assets and lease related journal entries.
• Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-end closing for lease related accounts.
• Review lease contracts to extract relevant accounting information such as lease terms, payments, renewal options and escalation clauses.
• Draft and review financial statements and disclosures related to lease.
• Liaise with auditors on lease related matters.
