Responsibilities of Chemist:

• Lead and implement technical testing methods to ensure compliance with regulatory standards for medical device and pharmaceutical products, including those outlined in USP, for markets in the US, EU, and China.
• Supervise a team of chemists across R&D, Technology Transfer, and Projects, emphasizing experience in Product Development and the ability to deliver cost-effective, reliable technologies for sterile medical device production, ophthalmic solutions, and related products.
• Lead technology transfers and projects, ensuring smooth transitions from lab-scale research to R&D scale and eventually to plant scale.
• Develop and optimize testing methods for new materials and finished products to meet regulatory standards.
• Identify and select chemicals that enhance product shelf-life.
• Provide guidance to the QC team on good laboratory practices, equipment handling, and result interpretation.
• Spearhead the development of new chemicals and oversee their technology transfer.

Our third-party due diligence (VANTAGE) team assess our clients’ current, former or potential counterparties, looking for any issues that might pose a reputational or business risk to them, wherever they may be in the world. The work is compliance-focused and volume-driven.

The Associate Research Manager is responsible for the quality of VANTAGE work. S/he will oversee and guide Researchers to ensure they produce clear, analytical and exceptionally well-written reports which help our clients protect their integrity and reputation.

S/he will also support the Research Manager in training researchers and managing projects, leveraging internal and external resources in order to complete VANTAGE projects in a timely and effective manner.

• Review and approve (content and editorial) VANTAGE work, ensuring projects are of high quality and meet Clients’ specifications

Regional research initiatives

• Education to degree level (minimum of a bachelor’s or equivalent experience)
• Full fluency in English written and spoken is essential

• Experience in writing, researching and reviewing/editing due diligence reports; demonstrated excellence in research, writing and editing in English
• Experience in managing projects, especially where the project team is spread across several locations
• At least 1-2 years’ experience in line management
• Strong knowledge of research techniques, databases, networks, online registers and archives and other OSINT research tools
• Experience influencing people across an organization, especially without direct reporting lines
• Proven ability to meet project deadlines

Research Assistant / Associate in Programme Evaluation

The Health Intervention and Policy Evaluation Research Centre (HIPER) (https://hiper.nus.edu.sg/) at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH), NUS, is seeking to hire an individual with relevant skillset and experience to work in the area of programme evaluation and health services research.

The individual will play a critical role in anchoring the Centre’s Programme Evaluation Unit (Health Services) that will be servicing the Ministry of Health. The individual will contribute to the Centre’s research agenda to support programme evaluation and health services research in Singapore, gaining the opportunity to work with leading experts, policy makers, and programme implementers in the field. They will be expected to perform research administration, conduct formative and evaluation-driven research, and disseminate findings.

The role will require a highly motivated and capable team-player who can engage with incoming briefs and help shape and construct deliverables in a timely manner. As a researcher of the Centre, they will be presented with various opportunities to further develop their skills and experience to ensure personal growth in their career. We are currently seeking a Research Officer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge optical spectroscopy device platform with innovative AI-analytics for skin health/Medtech applications and its clinical translation.

Job scope/responsibilities:

• Interface and integrate embedded systems, sensors, and hardware components with optical systems for experimental and prototype platforms.
• Design, develop, and maintain LabVIEW-based software for instrument control, data acquisition and GUI development.
• Development of optical hardware and systems for spectroscopy & imaging
• Develop AI models for data analytics
• Testing of developed spectroscopy system in phantoms
• Take part in clinical study in hospitals (data collection and analysis) for the translation of the developed systems
• Present study concepts, experimental results, new findings to the management team and the research team members

Job requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, Optical Engineering or in related field with minimum 1-2 years of relevant work experience
• Proven experience with LabVIEW programming, hardware interfacing (DAQs, microcontrollers) and GUI development.
• Hands-on experience with embedded systems, electronic design/debugging, and optical system integration.
• Familiar with AI models and experience on AI algorithm development for image analysis
• Proficiency in Matlab, Python Solid works, Zemax, and ANSYS is highly beneficial
• Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
• Meticulous and highly organized
• Industry working experience is advantageous

Contract Period: 11 months
Salary: $4000-$5000/month

Responsibilities
Project Management

• Support project operations to ensure quality deliverables. These activities include project coordination, vendor management, research materials review (e.g., questionnaire and code frame), survey platform testing, data review and validation.

Data Analysis & Insights

• Consolidate data from multiple sources into standardised formats, ensuring consistency and data integrity.
• Create effective visualisations using Excel (e.g. charts, pivot tables, dashboards) to deliver data-driven insights.
• Support test planning and test execution of enhancements to existing data visualisation and data pipelines

Requirements

• Possesses minimum a Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
• Minimum 2-3 years relevant experience in quantitative market research project management, data profiling and review.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - strong Excel skills for data management is essential.
• Programming experience in Python, SQL and databases
• Strong project management and time management skills; able to multi-task and manage deadlines efficiently.
