Job Summary

Support commodity trading operations by executing orders, managing risk, conducting market research, and ensuring regulatory compliance to drive informed trading decisions and optimize execution strategies.

Responsibilities

• Execute spot, futures, and derivatives trading orders for commodities including biodiesel and coal, monitoring trading activities and system status in real time to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Manage trading positions and risk exposures within authorized limits, conducting post-trade analysis to optimize execution strategies continuously
• Conduct fundamental research on commodities, analyzing macroeconomic and geopolitical factors to assess price trends and prepare detailed market analysis reports supporting trading decisions
• Assist with KYC documentation, counterparty onboarding, trade confirmation, settlement, and payment tracking to ensure compliance with internal policies and Singapore regulatory requirements
• Collaborate effectively with trading, risk, operations teams, and external brokers to maintain smooth trading workflows and communication

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Experience in Chinese-funded commodity trading firms is advantageous
• Bilingual proficiency to facilitate communication with clients and teams from China
• Strong data analysis skills with experience in data management and coordination
• Ability to remain calm and communicate effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
