Risk Control

• Assist with the establishment and maintenance of the risk management framework by adhering to internal risk policies and staying up to date with regulatory standards and industry best practices

Budgeting, Financial & Asset Performance Analysis

• Assist in developing and maintaining financial and asset models to evaluate and report on the performance of both retail and commercial assets, at the property and portfolio level.

Job Summary

This role requires expertise in core banking with a focus on lending, deposits, and CASA. You will analyze business requirements, design and execute test plans, manage defects, and support end-to-end implementation of banking applications to ensure quality and alignment with business needs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze functional requirements from Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and create BRDs based on inputs from business teams
• Design, prepare, and execute test scenarios, test plans, and test data to validate banking applications
• Log, track, and manage defects to closure, ensuring timely resolution of issues
• Apply domain expertise in lending, loans, deposits, CASA, interest, charges, and foreign exchange within core banking systems
• Conduct manual testing for retail and corporate banking applications, including Loan Origination Systems (LOS), Loan Management Systems (LMS), and collections
• Review and improve test scenarios and test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage of banking workflows and policy rule validations
• Communicate clearly and effectively in verbal and written form to explain bugs, produce bug reports, and provide feedback to product owners and developers
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document business requirements and identify gaps for resolution
• Discuss solution approaches with technical teams and clarify exception scenarios with stakeholders
• Provide demos and training on core banking lending testing to stakeholders, business operations, product teams, and users
• Support critical issue analysis and provide assistance during pilot runs, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), go-live, and post-implementation phases, including weekend support
• Demonstrate good understanding of core banking product functionality and end-of-day (EOD), end-of-month (EOM), and end-of-year (EOY) processes

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in retail banking, core banking, and banking product business analysis
• Exposure to banking processes and workflows
• Knowledge of GUI and regression testing is an advantage
• Experience testing both corporate and retail banking systems is a plus
