About Project

Aquatic foods are among the most nutrient-dense foods available and can play a critical role in improving dietary quality and addressing micronutrient deficiencies among nutritionally vulnerable populations (Golden et al., 2021). Over the past decade, WorldFish and its partners have developed and tested a diverse range of fish-based products, including fish powders, dried fish products, fish chutneys, porridges, noodles, cookies, and fish snacks. These products have been designed to improve access to nutritious aquatic foods among target groups such as infants and young children during the first 1,000 days of life, pregnant and lactating women, and school-aged children, while also supporting rural livelihoods and women’s economic participation. Fish-based product initiatives have been implemented across multiple countries and contexts, generating valuable experience on product development, nutritional quality, consumer acceptability, production models, and pathways to scale.

In 2024, WorldFish convened an e-learning event that brought together teams from seven countries to document experiences, lessons learned, and research priorities related to fish-based products. The discussions informed the development of the brief Fish-based Products in Diverse Aquatic Food Systems: Innovating with Product Development to Tackle Malnutrition and Improve Livelihoods https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12348/6115, which synthesized more than a decade of WorldFish experience across 21 projects. The review highlighted the diversity of products developed, their potential contributions to nutrition and livelihoods, and the need for stronger evidence on affordability, market integration, scalability, food safety, and impact.

About Position

We are seeking a motivated and capable Master's student intern to undertake a comparative assessment of fish-based products developed through WorldFish-supported initiatives. Building on findings from the 2024 WorldFish brief and the accompanying e-learning event, the internship will involve compiling, validating, and synthesizing information from multiple country programmes. Particular attention will be given to documenting product formulation, nutritional characteristics, target populations, production systems and distribution, market integration pathways, and evidence of scaling. The intern will work closely with WorldFish staff across country offices and will produce a comparative inventory and assessment matrix as well as a technical report and identifying cross-country lessons, evidence gaps, and opportunities for future investment in nutrition-sensitive aquatic food systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible to:

• Review and compile existing information on fish-based products developed through WorldFish initiatives.
• Organize and synthesize data on product characteristics including ingredients, nutritional composition, target populations, and intended nutrition outcomes.
• Document production models, buyers and end-markets, distribution channels, levels of market integration and commercialization, and evidence of adoption and scaling.
• Engage with WorldFish staff across country offices to validate and complement available information.

As a Sales CRM Controller & Process Specialist, you will serve as the primary contact for users and corporate teams (Sales, IT, and others) on all CRM topics related to sales processes. You will work closely with sales teams and system users to ensure process adherence, data quality, and operational efficiency. Acting as the link between business needs and technical solutions, you will maintain master data integrity, enforce corporate sales process standards, and proactively push automation initiatives that enhance sales performance across the organization.

We are looking for a professional with hands-on experience in CRM-enabled sales operations and process controlling, ideally within a B2B environment. Strong communication skills, a results-oriented and analytical mindset, and technical proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Automate or comparable workflow tools, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel are essential to succeed in this role.

Position description – Your fields of activity at a glance

• Ensure adherence to corporate sales processes within CRM; identify deviations, track resolution, and report on compliance KPIs to sales leadership
• Own pipeline data integrity: monitor stage progression, flag stale opportunities, and enforce entry/exit criteria across the sales funnel
• Maintain and govern core CRM master data (accounts, contacts, opportunities); run regular cleansing cycles and manage deduplication
• Design and deploy Power Automate flows to reduce manual CRM tasks — from opportunity updates and approval routing to activity reminders and data validation triggers
• Build and maintain dashboards tracking pipeline health, data quality scores, and process adherence; translate findings into actionable recommendations
• Act as the main contact for users and internal teams for all operational CRM questions, including user support, training, and documentation

As a Senior Equipment Engineer specializing in sputter media, you will be responsible for leading equipment sustaining, reliability, and continuous improvement activities to support high-volume hard disk media manufacturing. You will play a key role in driving equipment performance, improving operational efficiency, and supporting new technology implementation. This role requires strong technical leadership to guide technicians in maintaining stable manufacturing operations, reducing equipment downtime, and enabling next-generation product and process requirements.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead day-to-day equipment sustaining activities, including troubleshooting, failure analysis, and resolution of equipment-related production issues.
• Drive equipment reliability improvement initiatives to enhance equipment uptime, reduce chronic failures, and improve overall operational stability.
• Develop, implement, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve long-term equipment performance.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for major equipment failures and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Support equipment upgrades, hardware modifications, and machine conversion activities to meet product and technology roadmap requirements.
• Coordinate new equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, and acceptance to ensure systems meet operational and safety standards.
• Monitor and analyze equipment performance indicators such as OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and downtime trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with Process Engineering, Yield Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to improve process capability and manufacturing performance.
• Drive engineering projects related to equipment improvements, automation enhancement, and productivity optimization.
• Develop and maintain equipment documentation including SOPs, maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guides, and best practices.
• Work closely with OEM vendors and suppliers to resolve technical issues, implement upgrades, and support equipment technology development.
• Support cost reduction initiatives through engineering optimization, reliability improvements, and maintenance efficiency.
• Ensure all equipment operations comply with company safety policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean manufacturing, automation deployment, and digitalization programs.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

The individual is responsible for managing daily PN & JO freight billing operations, including resolving billing exceptions and disputes with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Key responsibilities include collaborating with external suppliers and the Accounts Payable team to improve billing processes, ensuring billing accuracy, timely freight payment settlement, and preparation of required reports. The role also involves analyzing shipment volumes, transportation costs, and supplier performance to support cost control initiatives. In addition, the individual supports logistics operations execution, including inbound and outbound freight activities, import and export customs compliance, preparation of customs documentation and regulatory reports, and liaison with Trade Compliance teams, Customs authorities, government agencies, and logistics providers while ensuring compliance with FIZ, LMW, and international customs requirements. The position also provides support for inventory management activities, including material receiving, storage, and issuance, and assists with internal and external audits as required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities  

• Responsible for the verification of the billing invoices from the PN & JO Logistics Service Providers.
• Ensure the accuracy of the freight invoice billing and submit for payment processing with the Finance department.
• Perform auditing and handle exceptions or disputes with relevant suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Support establishing and monitoring WD freight billing processes with external suppliers and the internal accounts payable team.
• Perform correct reporting and timely submission to the management and Finance department.
• Cooperate with the accounts payable team to manage the freight payment with suppliers on time.
• Generate relevant reports to analyze shipment volumes, unit costs, and supplier performance.
• Support operational cost control. Work with Finance on trends and other related queries. 
• Support Logistics operations execution, including import and export customs compliance activities, preparation of customs documentation and regulatory reports, and liaison with Trade Compliance teams, Customs authorities, government agencies, and logistics providers, while ensuring compliance with FIZ, LMW, and international customs requirements.
• Support inventory management activities as needed, including material receiving, storage, and issuance.
• Provide support to inbound & outbound freight execution and monitoring.
• Work with internal teams to identify process improvements, opportunities, and work on improvement projects.
• Support any other ad-hoc projects as assigned.
• Provide support during audits as necessary.
