Chrisjac Recruitment are actively looking for qualified Accountants to assume the immediate role of Finance Manager with a public listed group of companies based at Mid Valley City in Kuala Lumpur.

About the job

This is a full time permanent position, reporting directly to the senior Group Finance Manager of the group in Malaysia. The role will be to assist the senior Finance Manager in the management of day-to-day operations of the Finance department.

The primary role is to manage the full spectrum of accounting and finance functions of the company and several subsidiary companies within the group. The incumbent will be responsible to manage and lead the Accounting team to produce accurate financial and management reports. The incumbent will lead the month end process from beginning to end.

Key responsibilities:

*Produce monthly reports for different operation teams.

*Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce monthly monthly financial reports.

*Preparing management reports for the companies and its subsidiaries.

*Take the lead role in the annual budgeting and forecasting process.

*Manage the fixed assets and revenue team ensuring compliance.

*Review the company's financial statement for variances and cost control implementation and other budgetary controls.

*Manage and monitor subordinates' works in respect of payable, receivables. 

The candidate

To be considered for this senior accounting & finance role, candidate should possess professional qualification ACCA or Bachelor degree. Preference for candidates who are in age group 30-40 with at least 5-8 years of overall accounting experience.

Ideally candidate with prior experience in PLC set up will be an asset. However, candidates with solid accounting/finance experience in other industries will be duly considered.

The successful applicant will be strong in accounting knowledge, a confident and well organized self-starter with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Good command of spoken and written English is required with good writing skills.

A good working knowledge of accounting standards (FRS & IAS),taxation and company law will definitely a prerequisite to be considered for this role.

This exciting role will be based at the corporate office in Mid Valley City area. Their business working hours are on a 5-day week basis, 8.30 am-5.30pm.

• Manage the restaurant’s budget and forecasts to meet or exceed management expectations
