Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management policies and procedures tailored to the accounting industry.
- Identify, evaluate, and monitor key risks that could impact the organization’s financial health and reputation.
- Lead the risk assessment process across all business units to ensure timely mitigation and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to foster a strong risk-aware culture within the company.
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of risk reports to senior management and the board of directors.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to risk management.
- Guide and mentor the risk management team to elevate their performance and professional development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, or FRM) preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in risk management within the accounting or financial services industry.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to anticipate and mitigate risks effectively.
