We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Programmer / Quality Inspector to support our growing manufacturing and inspection operations in Penang.
Responsibilities
- Program and operate Mitutoyo CMM machines using MCOSMOS software
- Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections on precision machined components
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications
- Create and maintain CMM inspection programs and inspection reports
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, and surface requirements using precision inspection equipment
- Support production and engineering teams with quality-related issues and troubleshooting
- Maintain calibration and inspection records
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective actions when required
- Ensure inspection activities are completed accurately and on schedule
- Support continuous improvement and quality system initiatives
Requirements
- Experience programming and operating Mitutoyo CMM systems
- Experience using MCOSMOS software preferred
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T
- Experience using inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and indicators
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in precision machining, semiconductor, or aerospace manufacturing is an advantage
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of CMM programming or inspection experience
- Familiarity with first article inspection (FAI) documentation
- Experience with optical inspection or 3D scanning equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of machining processes and manufacturing workflows
