Role Overview

This role is responsible for driving the company’s commercial growth, strategic partnerships, and overall business performance, while ensuring operational alignment and execution excellence across functions. The incumbent will play a critical role in expanding market presence and supporting post-acquisition integration initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute business development strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, strategic partners, and stakeholders to support business growth
• Define and implement commercial strategies aligned with overall business objectives to drive market expansion
• Collaborate with senior leadership to support corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and expansion initiatives
• Ensure alignment between sales, engineering, and operations teams to deliver high-quality outcomes
• Oversee execution of key projects to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction
• Identify and implement process improvements and operational efficiencies to enhance performance
• Act as a key point of contact to build internal alignment across functions for seamless execution of business objectives
• Support organisational development, especially in post-acquisition integration scenarios, by aligning business processes, reporting structures, and performance management systems
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and capability building across teams to strengthen organisational capacity
• Drive change management initiatives to ensure smooth organisational transition during integration and transformation efforts

Required competencies and certifications

• Proven track record in business development and revenue growth, preferably in engineering, manufacturing, or technical industries
• Demonstrated ability to manage key accounts and strategic relationships
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving execution
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

They are currently on an active look out for a suitable candidate as a Global Commodity Leader – CAPEX, Automation & Test Equipment (Singapore), who is the critical point of contact in terms of ensuring smooth supplier and customer contracts management in a complex manufacturing environment for Singapore and beyond.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Global Head of Indirect Commodity Management based in Singapore, this position will be focusing on the below:

• Develop and implement global sourcing strategies for CAPEX equipment, automation systems, and testing machinery.

• Identify and qualify global suppliers for automation, integration, and specialized testing equipment for new build manufacturing facilities based in SEA region and beyond.

• Lead strategic supplier negotiations, contracts, and commercial agreements.

• Build long-term partnerships with automation integrators, machine builders, and equipment manufacturers to optimally support expansion manufacturing capabilities at the global level, including that of identifying opportunities to drive supplier consolidation, cost reduction, and value engineering initiatives.

• Lead cost benchmarking, should-cost analysis, and total cost of ownership evaluation.

REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate Profile

Singapore • Permanent

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 7-10 years of relevant experience in end-to-end Supply Chain or Engineering Management experiences in a complex and high volume Precision Manufacturing environment.

• Proven track record in acquired solution-oriented mind set to deal with complex and matrix organizational framework.

• Excellent hands-on experience and knowledge in driving Procurement and Supply Chain Excellence.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills to relay and/or drive process improvements across a global organization to regional/ global stakeholders involved.

• Good understanding of SAP and equivalent ERP system is highly preferred
