Job Functions & Summary:

Oversees all the maintenance and repair works of the equipment and machinery in the golf course maintenance workshop.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

(1) Troubleshoot and maintained any faulty machinery, equipment and golf carts.

(2) Plan and organize all machinery and buggy checking and do the preventive maintenance/servicing as scheduled.

(3) Ensure and key-in, included but not limited to: data, update maintenance repair, inventory, receiving book and bin card.

Job Summary:

Overview*

Job Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the following:

Leadership and Strategic Planning

• Participate in the development of AH strategic plans. He/She will facilitate in the alignment of the vision, philosophy, strategic and business plans for the Operations team. This includes the formulation of a tactical roadmap to achieve measurable targets within prescribed timelines. These measurable targets are quantifiable quality outcomes as KRAs that can be used to benchmark against other institutions.
• Participate in the transformation of hospital design and deliver of support services through the Alexandra Campus Redevelopment project.

Major Duties (80%)

• Responsible for daily operations of assigned inpatient ward(s), including ward reception counter services, administrative / operational matters and partnering Ward Nurse Manager and other stakeholders to solve system and process issues.
• Review key processes to improve overall key performance indicators/ outcomes in the areas of total customer experience, operational efficiency and optimal resources utilization.
• Track, monitor and make recommendations to achieve excellent customer satisfaction ratings.
• Work closely with Nursing, Operational Support Services and other stakeholders for ward infrastructure and/or building improvement projects to ensure 1) adequate planning of project phases and bed closures to minimize disruption to inpatient operations, 2) user requirements are adequately captured in project specifications, 3) site works are carried out in compliance to hospital standards e.g. infection control, 4) projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Track, monitor and make recommendations for all hospital related requirements related to its annual planning cycles, including financial, manpower and total training budgets.
• Work closely with relevant departments on special projects, workgroups or committees to resolve intra-department conflicts, initiate and propose options where possible and see through the implementation to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
• Participate actively in relevant NUHS Way projects, Quality Improvement/ IT projects and initiatives. Constantly review within assigned areas, systems and process initiatives to achieve safer, better, faster and cheaper care for the customers.
• Handle customer complaints and follow up with service recovery if necessary.
• Review and update policies and procedures as needed.

General Duties (20%)

• Support any relevant hospital committees formed within the assigned area(s) of responsibilities, for example, Division of Critical Care Committee, etc.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer.

Requirements

• Degree in any discipline.
• Healthcare experience will be advantageous.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong analytical, organisational, coordination, interpersonal and communication (written & verbal) skills
• Proficient in MS applications e.g. Microsoft Word / Excel / Powerpoint
• Project management skills and experience
• Practical knowledge of hospital operations preferred
• At least two years’ working experience, preferably in service industry

An Audiologist is a healthcare professional who works with those who have ear problems including hearing and balance difficulties. The job scope involves the evaluation of hearing loss and related disorders of the auditory system, as well as providing audiological rehabilitation to adults.

An audiologist selects, fits, and dispenses amplification systems, such as hearing aids, tinnitus maskers, cochlear implants, bone-anchored hearing aids, middle-ear implant, and other assistive listening devices, such as FM system.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct basic audiological assessments o Use of 2 patient identifiers

o Obtain case history from patients and caregivers o Competent in otoscopy, Pure Tone Audiometry, Immitance test

(Tympanometry and Acoustic Reflex), Eustachian tube function test, Speech test and Otoacoustic Emission test

o Accurate recording and uploading of audiometric test results, and charging on

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system o Interpret audiometric results for patients, caregivers and health care professionals involved

o To provide counseling services to patients, parents and all concerned

o To provide Hearing Aid Services/Management

▪ To conduct hearing aid evaluations where patients are given information regarding hearing aids in general, how it helps, and types, features, costs and benefits.

▪ To assist patients in the selection and recommendation of appropriate hearing aids and actual trial on patients.

▪ To perform hearing aid fitting where patients are fitted with chosen hearing aid, help them get familiarize with the device, warranty, proper care and general maintenance.

▪ To monitor the progress of the patient by regular hearing aid follow-ups.

Verify and fine-tune hearing aid setting/fitting by REM, interview and functional gain testing to determine the benefit after hearing aid fitting. Conducts outcome measures to determine the benefit hearing aid fitting.

▪ To perform impression takings for ear moulds and swim plugs.

o Assist in Hearing Aid Services

▪ Troubleshoot hearing aids and accessories, and decide on appropriate action

▪ Assist patients with hearing aid spare-part replacements

▪ Send the hearing aid for repair if necessary o Sub-specialties

▪ Middle Ear Implant Management - To provide fitting and tuning of various devices and necessary rehabilitation for adjustment to listening with implant amplification systems

▪ Cochlear Implant Management - To provide fitting and tuning of various

CI devices and necessary rehabilitation for adjustment to listening with implant amplification systems

Secondary Responsibilities

• To liaise with clinicians, audiologists, technicians, nurses, clerical staffs, BME engineers, equipment vendors and hearing device distributors

• To coordinate audiometric findings with medical, educational, social and behavioral diagnostic data; interpret audiometric results for patients, health care and allied professionals

• To refer to related medical, educational and other professional groups such as medical social workers

• To liaise with third party for equipment maintenance and ordering consumables • Other general duties: o Perform daily calibration of equipment

o Monitor and keep records of clinic consumables and hearing aid stocks o To facilitate ordering, shipping and receiving of hearing aids and implant and its accessories

o Ensure all equipment are kept on regular preventive maintenance and well documented

o Ensure all IT risk mitigation measures are in placed

o Writing meeting minutes and reports o Collate monthly patients’ statistics

• Assist in planning of staff roster

• Supervise new/junior audio technicians and provide on-the-job training, if necessary

• Stay updated with new instrumentation, techniques, and procedures by attending workshops, seminars, and in-service education classes

• To provide in-service lectures to clinic staff and in-house lectures for medical officers on basic audiology topics and updates

• To be involved in research activities as co-researcher

• Attend to ad-hoc assignments assigned by Reporting Officer

Requirements

• Minimal requirement of a Bachelor in Audiology (Honors). A Masters in Audiology is preferred
• Registered/certified audiologist (in other countries or with the Society of Audiology Professionals Singapore) is preferred
• Clinical experience not required but at least minimum 300 clinical hours as part of the curriculum requirement before graduation).

• Clinical supervision and on-job-training on certain sub-specialty for new audiologist will be provided whenever necessary
• Clinical experience of 1-2 years in a similar setting is preferred Maintain a minimum required competency level in bi-annual competency review
• Familiar with hearing aid technology and other related updates
• Basic knowledge on some specialized areas including CI and MEI
• Knowledge in the relationship between hearing and speech
• Able to communicate well with hearing impaired individuals
• Display interest in research and service expansion
• Good team player
• Analytical, organized and communicative
• Can work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
• Strong interpersonal skills o Affable and approachable
  Possess a passion for helping people with hearing loss and other disabilities
