Job description:
As a Regional People Business Partner, you will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, driving people strategies that enable business growth, organizational effectiveness, and workforce sustainability across the region. You will partner closely with leaders to build high-performing teams, strengthen leadership capability, develop and retain talent, and create a positive employee experience.
This role combines strategic business partnering with hands-on HR leadership, encompassing talent management, workforce planning, employee relations, organizational development, culture, engagement, and HR governance. You will play a key role in designing scalable people frameworks, strengthening leadership effectiveness, and ensuring HR practices support the organization's long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnering
• Partner with business leaders to align people strategies with business goals, workforce requirements, and growth plans across Singapore, Malaysia and SEA operations.
• Provide coaching and guidance to managers on organizational effectiveness, leadership capability, employee performance, and people-related decision-making.
• Support organizational design, restructuring initiatives, and change management programs to drive business transformation.
Talent Management & Workforce Planning
• Drive talent management initiatives including succession planning, talent reviews, high-potential identification, and leadership pipeline development.
• Partner with leaders on workforce planning, manpower forecasting, and talent acquisition strategies to meet current and future business needs.
• Develop and implement retention strategies to improve employee engagement, reduce attrition, and strengthen employer branding.
• Monitor talent metrics and workforce trends to identify risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate interventions.
Learning, Leadership & Capability Development
• Lead Learning & Development initiatives to strengthen technical, functional, and leadership capabilities across the organization.
• Design and implement development frameworks, career pathways, and individual development plans to support employee growth and internal mobility.
• Partner with leaders to identify capability gaps and establish targeted learning interventions.
Employee Experience & Culture
• Drive employee engagement, wellbeing, recognition, and culture-building initiatives to foster a high-performance and inclusive workplace.
• Lead employees listening to initiatives, engagement surveys, and action planning to continuously improve employee experience.
• Promote company values and support the development of a strong organizational culture across multiple locations.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
• Provide expert guidance on employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary actions, grievances, conflict resolution, and performance improvement.
• Support managers in managing complex matters while ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance.
• Drive performance management processes, ensuring alignment between individual performance, development, and business objectives.
HR Governance, Compliance & Process Excellence
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and statutory requirements across Singapore, Malaysia, and other SEA entities.
• Develop, review, and enhance HR policies, frameworks, and processes to ensure scalability, consistency, and operational excellence.
• Lead HR process improvement initiatives, leveraging technology and best practices to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
• Partner with regional and global stakeholders to implement HR programs, initiatives, and governance frameworks.
Requirements
• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, including experience in a Business Partnering role.
• Proven experience partnering senior stakeholders and business leaders on strategic people matters.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore and Malaysia employment legislation and HR practices.
• Demonstrated experience in talent management, succession planning, workforce planning, organizational development, and employee engagement.
• Experience managing employee relations, investigations, disciplinary matters, and performance management processes.
• Strong understanding of Learning & Development and leadership capability-building initiatives.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a dynamic environment.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting regional or multi-country operations would be advantageous.
• Proficient in HR systems, workforce analytics, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to travel within the region when required.
Others
• Working hours from Monday through Friday 8:30am to 6:00pm.
• Other responsibilities as and when required by the manager
• Ability to provide support during and outside regular business hours is required
