Business & Technology Strategy Alignment – 25%
- Serve as the trusted technology advisor to Travel Retail senior business leadership (GM, Commercial, Marketing, Retail Ops, Supply Chain, Finance).
- Translate business strategy, growth plans, and consumer priorities into a clear, outcome driven technology strategy and multiyear roadmap.
- Ensure alignment with Global / Regional enterprise platforms, avoiding duplication and fragmentation.
- Proactively identify opportunities where technology can unlock revenue growth, enhance consumer experience, and improve operational agility.
- Balance speed, scalability, security, and cost in all technology recommendations.
Enterprise Solution & Future CapabilityEnablement – 10%
- Partner with Regional and Global Technology, Product, and Business teams to shape, influence, and evolve future ready enterprise capabilities for the Travel Retail business, aligned to long term commercial and consumer strategy.
- Contributes to the definition of an evolving enterprise solution roadmap for Travel Retail.
- Act as the business technology voice for Travel Retail, ensuring emerging enterprise platforms and initiatives considers the unique characteristics and constraints of the Travel Retail operating model.
- Support experimentation, pilots, and proof of concepts in partnership with Global and Regional teams, helping assess business value, scalability, and readiness before broader adoption.
- Provide strategic input on Travel Retail specific considerations, including:
- Multi partner and distributor led commercial models
- Cross border operations, regulatory, customs, and data residency requirements
- Variable maturity levels, connectivity constraints, and market readiness across regions
- Help Global and Regional teams understand where standard enterprise solutions may require adaptation, sequencing, or alternate deployment approaches for Travel Retail.
- Ensure that emerging solutions and capabilities are enterprise aligned, scalable, secure, and compliant, while remaining pragmatic and appropriate for the current and future state of the Travel Retail business.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance – 25%
- Build strong, trusted relationships with Travel Retail leadership, global product teams, and regional technology partners.
- Lead technology governance forums to ensure:
- Clear prioritization
- Transparent decision making
- Alignment to enterprise standards
- Provide concise, executive level communication on risks, tradeoffs, and progress.
Cybersecurity, Risk & Business Continuity – 15%
- Act as the Technology Risk and Compliance representative for Travel Retail, ensuring that business‑led initiatives are aligned with enterprise cybersecurity, risk, and compliance standards.
- Partners with Global and Regional Technology, Security, and Risk teams to ensure Travel Retail business requirements are appropriately reflected in enterprise risk frameworks, controls, and policies.
- Maintain visibility of technology risk posture for Travel Retail, including contribution to enterprise Risk Registers, ensuring risks are clearly articulated, prioritized, and escalated in line with policy.
- Support business leadership in understanding and navigating technology risk trade‑offs, including the handling of security exceptions, third‑party risks, and compliance constraints where required by the business.
- Ensure that user access, identity, and provisioning controls for Travel Retail business users and partners are governed in accordance with enterprise standards.
- Act as a key escalation point for technology‑related risk, audit, and security matters impacting the Travel Retail business, working closely with Global and Regional stakeholders through resolution.
Leadership & Capability Building – 25%
- Develop and lead a high performing, business-oriented technology team.
- Coach talent to operate as strategic partners, not service operators.
