We are looking for a skilled Draftsperson with experience in highway and road infrastructure projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate drawings, detailing, and supporting design teams using industry-standard software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for highway projects including:
• Alignment plans
• Cross-sections
• Longitudinal profiles
• Interchanges and junction layouts
• Develop and modify drawings based on design inputs and site requirements
• Work closely with engineers and BIM/modeling teams for coordination
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications, standards, and codes
• Assist in quantity take-offs and basic design detailing
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (structures, drainage, utilities)
• Review and check drawings for accuracy and completeness

Minimum 10 years of substantive professional experience in electrical design for Metro Rail projects, with documented evidence of technical leadership and project delivery

**Key Responsibilities**

**1. Electrical System Design**

• Lead the design of LV & MV power distribution systems with full accountability for technical accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Design transformers, switchgear, MCCs, and panel boards in accordance with international standards and project specifications
• Conduct comprehensive electrical load calculations and demand analysis to ensure system adequacy
• Execute short circuit, voltage drop, and protection coordination studies to guarantee system integrity and safety
• Specify and oversee UPS systems, generators, and backup power solutions to ensure operational continuity
• Design earthing and lightning protection systems in compliance with applicable codes and standards

**2. Lighting & Small Power Systems**

• Direct the design of interior and exterior lighting systems, including precise lux level calculations and compliance verification
• Develop emergency lighting systems that meet all regulatory requirements and operational standards
• Establish small power layouts and socket distribution in accordance with project demands and safety protocols
• Implement energy-efficient lighting solutions, including LED and smart control technologies, to optimise operational performance

**3. Technical Documentation**

• Prepare and certify critical technical deliverables, including:
• Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
• Load schedules
• Panel schedules
• Cable sizing calculations
• Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
• Comprehensive technical specifications
• Conduct rigorous review of shop drawings and material submittals to ensure compliance with design intent and standards

**4. Coordination & Project Management**

• Coordinate with Mechanical, Plumbing, Civil, and Architectural teams to ensure integrated design delivery and conflict resolution
• Represent the electrical discipline in client and consultant meetings, providing authoritative technical guidance
• Ensure strict compliance with local and international codes (IEC, NEC, NFPA, BS, and local authority regulations)
• Provide technical oversight during construction and conduct site inspections to verify compliance with design specifications

**5. Leadership & Technical Oversight**

• Direct and mentor junior engineers and draftsmen, establishing standards for technical excellence
• Conduct comprehensive review of all design outputs to ensure accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance
• Maintain accountability for project delivery within established timelines and budgetary constraints
• Assume responsibility for the technical integrity and professional standards of all deliverables

Role Overview

The Pavement Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and evaluation of airfield pavements, including runways, taxiways, aprons, and associated infrastructure, ensuring compliance with international and national aviation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design of flexible and rigid pavements for:

• Use software/tools such as:

  • Drawings & BOQs
• Coordinate with:
  • Structural / Geotechnical / Airport planners
• Provide technical support during:

• Conduct site investigations and coordinate field testing activities to validate design assumptions and subgrade conditions
• Perform quality assurance reviews and verify compliance with design standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements
• Develop cost estimates and budget recommendations for pavement design and rehabilitation projects
• Evaluate sustainability and environmental considerations in pavement design, including material selection and lifecycle assessment
• Prepare maintenance and performance monitoring recommendations to optimize long-term pavement durability
• Communicate design findings and recommendations to stakeholders through technical presentations and documentation
