Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities with shipyards, refineries, and industrial clients in Singapore and Southeast Asia to drive company growth.
• Develop and execute sales strategies that achieve revenue targets and expand market presence in the corrosion protection sector.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure long-term partnerships and generate repeat business.
• Negotiate contracts and proposals effectively, ensuring alignment with market rates and compliance standards.
• Represent the company at industry events to enhance brand visibility and provide actionable market feedback for service improvement.

Required competencies and certifications

• Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within coating works or corrosion protection.
• Apply knowledge of Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and relevant industry standards such as ISO, NACE, and SSPC.
• Exhibit strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills with a proven track record of closing deals.
• Possess an established network and prior experience working with Singapore shipyards, refineries, or EPC contractors.

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Job Description: Project Engineer

Industry: Corrosion Protection & Coating Works 

Location: Singapore 

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Plan, allocate, and manage resources to ensure coating projects are completed on time and within budget. 

2. Supervise site activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and quality requirements. 

3. Coordinate with shipyards, refineries, and contractors to deliver projects smoothly. 

4. Monitor project progress, prepare reports, and resolve technical or operational issues promptly. 

5. Provide technical guidance to teams and ensure adherence to Singapore’s Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations. 

Requirements

1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification (preferred). 

2. Minimum 7 years of experience in coating works and corrosion protection projects. 

3. Proven track record of managing projects in *Singapore shipyards and refineries* (mandatory). 

4. Strong knowledge of abrasive blasting, protective coatings, and industry standards (ISO, NACE, SSPC). 

5. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively.
