The Engineering Technician (AC System) is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of air-conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems throughout the hotel. The role ensures all HVAC equipment operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with hotel standards to provide a comfortable environment for guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities

HVAC Operations & Maintenance

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on air-conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC equipment, including chillers, FCUs, AHUs, split units, package units, and ventilation systems.
• Monitor and maintain HVAC system performance to ensure optimal efficiency and guest comfort.
• Conduct routine inspections of mechanical rooms, plant rooms, and equipment areas.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed according to established schedules.

Repair & Troubleshooting

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and HVAC-related breakdowns.
• Identify equipment faults and perform repairs in a timely manner.
• Replace defective components such as motors, thermostats, filters, compressors, belts, and control systems.
• Coordinate with external contractors when specialized repairs are required.
• Maintain records of repairs and maintenance activities.

Energy Management

• Assist in maintaining optimal operating conditions of HVAC systems to reduce utility costs.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, engineering procedures, and hotel policies.

General Engineering Support

• Assist with general engineering and maintenance tasks as required.

Administration & Reporting

• Complete maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment records accurately.

Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma, or Technical Qualification in Air Conditioning, Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in HVAC maintenance, preferably in a hotel, commercial building, or facilities environment.
