Responsibilities:

• Responsible for control and governance of Fixed Income related P&L with primary focus on Rates, Treasury and Corporate P&Ls across 20 legal entities as well as secondary oversight into FX & BRM. Identify control gaps that could have financial implications and provide strategic solutions.

• Support legal review for corporate banking, private banking / wealth management and treasury transactions, including product approvals, new business initiatives and cross-border legal risk assessments.
• Provide legal advice on Singapore regulatory and governance matters, including MAS requirements, PDPA, outsourcing, banking secrecy, confidentiality, corporate governance and commercial contracting issues.
• Lead the policies & procedures management of the branch, assist in reviewing, and improving Branch policies, procedures and operational work flows to support alignment with legal, regulatory, Head Office and internal control requirements.
• Support the management of disputes, complaints, potential litigation, regulatory enquiries, internal investigations and incident response matters.
• Coordinate with external counsel on Singapore law and cross-border legal matters, including managing scope of work, timelines, costs and quality of advice.

• Work with business, operations, risk, compliance, finance, HR and Head Office stakeholders to provide practical and timely legal support. 
• Maintain legal documentation records, matter tracking and legal risk registers where required.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Law, or equivalent legal qualification from a recognised institution.
• Admission to practice law in Singapore or another common law jurisdiction would be an added advantage. For a documentation-focused role, candidates with strong banking legal documentation experience may also be considered.
• At least 2 years of relevant post-qualification or equivalent legal experience in a law firm, bank, financial institution or in-house legal function. Candidates with stronger experience may be considered for a more senior title. 
• Experience in banking, finance, treasury, derivatives, corporate lending, financial services regulation, outsourcing, data protection or commercial contracts would be advantageous.

Function Overview:

The Singapore regulatory reporting team sits under the AEJ Financial Control and reporting team and has a well-defined mandate of managing regulatory reporting, financial resource usage and stakeholder management covering Global Markets, Wealth Management and Investment Banking, The team partners closely with other functions and regions to facilitate the accurate measurement of regulatory obligations, the analysis of new deals/products and to manage change to help drive accurate reporting and achieve best return on equity and mitigate reporting and regulatory risk.

Role Overview:

This role focuses on regulatory reporting covering MAS/SGX reporting, capital regulation and regulatory change management. The firm has ambitious medium term growth plans; the value proposition is to partner with business units to navigate the evolving regulatory landscape while ensuring compliance and optimizing regulatory capital efficiency across the regional franchise.

The role requires strong reporting expertise combined with practical implementation skills to respond to changing regulatory requirements. In-depth knowledge of Singapore regulatory frameworks, Basel requirements, and general IFRS accounting standards is expected to be the foundation for this role. Strong communication and presentation skills would be instrumental to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable business guidance. We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to leadend-to-end testing activities for Temenos (T24) banking implementations andenhancements.
