About You

You will own and enhance SEEK’s back-office and identity platforms, with a primary focus on Microsoft 365 and related services, ensuring they are secure, highly available and aligned to our cloud-first strategy.

Based in Kuala Lumpur with 2–3 days a week working from home, you will act as the senior technical escalation point, driving infrastructure projects across data centre, AWS and Azure environments, while mentoring teammates and influencing how we deliver enterprise services at scale.

What You Will Do

• Implement, configure, support and tune high-availability back-office systems in a secure environment.
• Manage and support identity and collaboration platforms including Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Active Directory, Okta and related services.
• Configure and support infrastructure services such as AD, DHCP, DNS and mail systems across multiple regions.
• Drive and deliver key infrastructure projects and technical initiatives across datacentre, AWS and Azure platforms within agreed timeframes.
• Leverage IaaS, SaaS, PaaS and Infrastructure as Code to automate and improve capacity, availability, performance and configuration management.
• Identify risks to service and availability, design mitigations and ensure SLAs are consistently met for IT systems and services.
• Mentor and train team members, provide technical guidance, and act as the go-to escalation point for complex system issues, including occasional on-call support. 

Who You Are

You will lead the technical direction for Hirer Shared Services, shaping cloud-first shared platforms that improve developer experience and tech health for teams across the Hirer domain. You will design and evolve critical services such as the domain-wide GraphQL API, audit logging, and centralised authorisation, partnering with Engineering Managers and senior leaders across a distributed team of around 10 people based in Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne and Sydney.

What You Will Do

• Ensure sub-domain services and platforms are fit for purpose, well-architected and aligned to SEEK development practices and technical metrics
• Design, operate and evolve scalable, performant cloud-first systems on AWS, including complex GraphQL-based architectures
• Act as the technical escalation point for your sub-domain, deep-diving into incidents and leading incident reviews, documentation and follow-up improvements
• Uplift engineering discipline by championing CI/CD, TDD/BDD, clean code, secure coding and DevOps practices across multiple teams
• Define and drive technical roadmaps that improve tech health, observability, resilience, security and compliance for shared services
• Partner with Engineering Managers, Heads of Engineering, Architecture, Security and Product to align sub-domain strategy with SEEK’s technical strategy
• Coach and mentor Staff Engineers and Software Engineers, nurturing future technical leaders and fostering a safe, inclusive and engaged engineering culture

About You

You will join the SEEK Business engineering team — a self‑contained scale‑up powered by SEEK’s global platform. You will design, build, and maintain full‑stack software that powers Australia’s largest online business‑for‑sale marketplace. Working across TypeScript, NodeJS, React, GraphQL, and AWS, you’ll deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions end‑to‑end. You will collaborate daily with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers, contributing to architecture decisions and continuous improvement in DevOps, CI/CD, and automation. Success in this role means shipping well‑crafted code, owning complex technical decisions, and helping the team raise engineering quality while driving rapid delivery.
