We are looking to grow our Psychology services in Western Sydney and are seeking a dedicated Board Approved Psychologist to support with participants and provisional psychologists within the team.

Full-Time or Part-time will be considered.  

Responsibilities will include:

• Manage your own case load – You will have a case load of participants that you will support in  community, clinic and telehealth settings.
• Supervision of provisional psychologists - You will also provide support and mentoring to the provisional psychologists within the team, offering supervision, clinical support and guidance as they progress towards registration and sign off completed hours.
• Group supervision – You will meet regularly with your allocated groups and facilitate a space for interns to reflect on their practices and work through client cases. Flexibility to run supplementary supervision sessions on any specific area of interests when needed.

We provide the flexibility to work from our Penrith clinic, from home and in the community.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner (who already has suitability as a Behaviour Support Practitioner with the NDIS Commission) you will make a real difference in the lives of people living with disability by helping them and those around them.  You will focus on enhancing quality of life, reducing behaviours of concern and promoting the rights of people with disability.

You will work as part of a team including practitioners, a team leader and clinical advisors, to support people with evidence-based practice along with developing your own knowledge, skills and experience.

You live in or very close to Penrith.

You will also benefit from the School of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), in partnership with the MedHealth Academy and University of Melbourne.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner you will:

• Support our clients (NDIS participants), along with their families and/or carers, to identify their needs through assessment and person-centred planning
• Identify meaningful goals and practical strategies utilising The Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework, with a commitment to eliminate restrictive practices, in the home and community
• Develop, deliver and evaluate evidence-based support plans within a complex support space
• Ensure individual plans reflect our clients' goals, passions and strengths
• Build the knowledge, capacity and strengths of those who support our clients - family, carers, friends, etc

About You

• Current suitability (i.e. registration) with the NDIS Commission as a Behaviour Support Practitioner is strongly preferred
• Considerable practical experience in supporting people with complex and challenging behaviours is essential
• Demonstrated ability to work positively in a diverse team
• Outstanding communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
• Confident computer skills
• Flawless writing skills
• Current Drivers Licence and own reliable vehicle
