The role of tribology engineer is to set up or develop component media mechanical interface test to simulate hard disk drive reliability performance. It is crucial to assist media R&D team to develop reliable tribology design

• Conduct advanced tribological testing and analysis using state-of-the-art equipment and methodologies
• Design and implement experimental procedures to evaluate friction, wear, and lubrication in complex mechanical systems

Sustaining Staff Product Engineers ensures product continuity after mass production by manage products lifecycle, resolving production/ customer issues, and improving COGS.  We are seeking a Product Engineer to join our team with a primary focus on sustaining engineering activities. This role is critical in ensuring the long-term quality, reliability, and manufacturability of our power IC products. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including design, test, manufacturing, and quality—to support mature products in high-volume production, drive yield improvement, resolve customer issues, and extend product lifecycle.

• Sustain multiple products lifecycle, production and compliance. Oversees high volume PCP Products mass production manufacturing across all internal factory and subcons

This role is crucial to ensure execution of sustaining projects and also proactively monitor production supply chain.  The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including design, test, manufacturing, and quality—to support mature products in high-volume production, drive yield improvement, and extend product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

•  Manage and maintain BOM system.  This will be a crucial on-going task to ensure production system operates flawlessly.  Candidate will be trained to generate and mainitain BOM of all PCP products in new Renesas system.
• Sustain multiple products lifecycles, production and compliance. Oversees high volume PCP Products mass production manufacturing across all internal factory and subcons
• Generating and monitor engineering build requests to support qualification/validation builds and customer samples.

2.Job Scope
2.1 To perform Process Study on Failure Analysis for existing responsible products on all reject & assist time study, cycle time on the process or ISIR sample build / test in production.
2.2 To assist Manufacturing Changeover activities and perform Evaluation / Rejects activities.
2.3 To assist on technical report Cgk, Cmk, GRR, SPC & etc assigned by Process Engineer/Supervisor.
2.4 To assist Manufacturing Engineering document: Visual aids PQI, work instructions WI, 7S photo, Inspector Work Sequence, Quality Alert & Quality awareness presentation material for briefing purpose.
2.5 To perform daily complaint of raw material to PUQ and assist in scrap preparation if necessary.
2.6 To train and monitor repairers on daily rework activities.
2.7 To support Production in achieving the effectiveness/productivity, output, FOR and quality target.
2.8 To support and involve in BPS activities such as Point CIP projects, LLD, Change Over, TPM or process/product improvement.
