The responsibilities of this role are:

• Support the development and implementation of advancement and fundraising initiatives aligned with the College’s strategic priorities.
• Build and develop a pipeline of high-capacity donors through proactive identification, outreach, and engagement
• Cultivate and manage relationships with major and principal gift prospects, guiding them from initial engagement through to commitment
• Lead donor conversations and secure significant philanthropic gifts aligned with institutional priorities
• Partner with senior leadership and faculty to translate research and academic priorities into compelling funding opportunities
• Work closely with the University Advancement Office to coordinate fundraising initiatives and ensure alignment with university-wide advancement efforts.
• Prepare donor proposals, briefing materials, reports, and engagement plans for the Dean’s Office and senior leadership.
• Structure and negotiate complex gifts, including endowed and multi-year commitments
• Create meaningful engagement opportunities to deepen donor relationships and inspire long-term support
• Support donor engagement activities related to scholarships, professorships, and other strategic programmes within the College.
• Track and manage portfolio activity with a high level of discipline and accountability
• Support special projects and strategic initiatives led by the Dean’s Office

The ideal candidate will need to have the following qualities and experience:

• A master’s degree or bachelor’s in Business, Communications, Public Policy, Engineering, or related disciplines will be advantageous.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in fundraising (major gifts), partnerships, stakeholder engagement, or business development in high-value, relationship-driven environments.
• Those with experience in private banking, wealth management, or relationship management with high-net-worth clients are welcome to apply.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and external partners.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop proposals and engagement materials.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement, partnerships, strategic initiatives, or development roles in corporate, public sector, higher education, or non-profit environments will be advantageous.
• Proven ability to engage, influence, and build trust with high-net-worth individuals.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? 

The Performance Director will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising the company’s media trading activities, ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and profitability. This strategic position is ideal for a seasoned media trading professional who possesses robust operational oversight and leadership experience. You will report to the SVP of Commercial Operations and Governance to drive process improvements and align media trading strategies with broader business objectives. 

How will YOU contribute to the Team?  

• Media Trading Operations Oversight: 

• Oversee end-to-end media trading processes, including planning, execution, and optimisation of media buys across various channels. 

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of the company’s end-to-end media trading workflows. 

• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement, automation, and risk mitigation. 

• Capability Assessment: 

• Evaluate the media trading team’s skillset, structure, and operational efficiency. 

• Provide recommendations for training, resourcing, and performance enhancement to ensure the team remains competitive and effective. 

• Strategic Collaboration: 

• Work closely with the SVP of Commercial Operations and Governance to ensure media trading activities align with company policies and broader business goals. 

• Performance and Risk Management: 

• Monitor key media trading metrics and analyse performance trends. 

• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal governance frameworks. 

• Reporting and Insights: 

• Deliver regular updates and analytical insights to the SVP.

• Support informed strategic and financial decision-making through data-driven recommendations. 

• Governance and Compliance: 

• Ensure all media trading activities adhere to internal controls and external compliance requirements. 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?  

• Experience: 15+ years’ experience in Media Trading Operations, Media Trading Strategy, or a related commercial role. 

• Expertise: 

• Strong hands-on experience across major digital advertising platforms, including Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok, and leading programmatic DSPs. 

• Proven ability to optimise pricing and performance to ensure competitive media buying rates and maximise campaign efficiency. 

• Leadership: Proven track record of:  

• Demonstrated experience in guiding, coaching, and upskilling Campaign Operations teams and traders on advanced platform strategies and performance-driven optimisation tactics. 

• Strong ability to troubleshoot technical issues across multiple advertising platforms. 

• Proven capability in managing teams and overseeing day-to-day operational excellence. 

• Active contributor to pricing and commercial strategy initiatives.  

• Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail. 

• Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of engaging with senior leadership (C-level or equivalent) in fast-paced or global environments.

Digital Platform Strategy & Growth
