About this job:
Join the Global Planogram Hub and support Category Management consultation and planogram development for global clients.
You will contribute to Category Management engagements by supporting insight generation, conducting data analysis, and creating dashboards to inform client recommendations. In addition, the role will focus on creating and implementing planograms for Space Management Consulting projects using Spaceman, NielsenIQ’s proprietary space management tool, in close collaboration with the Global Markets team.
You will be part of a 3-member team and will report to the Hub Manager, supporting consistent and high-quality project delivery across markets.
Main responsibilities include:
- Conduct data analysis using Excel, Power BI, and other relevant tools to generate insights, ensuring adherence to global standards and quality guidelines.
- Create structured analysis presentations and dashboards to support Category Management (CatMan) recommendations.
- Develop channel- and store-specific planograms using Spaceman, in line with defined business processes, inventory norms, and merchandising standards.
- Evaluate planogram performance and support assessment of impact on sales, profitability, and inventory efficiency, identifying improvement opportunities.
- Provide optimization recommendations and alternative solutions to enhance space utilization, functionality, and financial outcomes.
- Support end-to-end project execution, including timeline tracking, documentation, quality checks, and day-to-day coordination with local and global NielsenIQ teams.
A Little bit about you:
You have a strong interest in understanding retail operations and shopper behavior, and are curious about how data translates into in-store execution. You are comfortable working with large datasets and enjoy deriving insights from analysis.
You bring a strong work ethic, a practical and structured approach to problem-solving, and a genuine willingness to learn. You are reliable and trustworthy, with the ability to deliver consistently, while the remaining technical and functional skills can be further developed through training.
Requirements:
- 0–2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in analytics, category management, space planning, or consulting roles.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college; a Master’s degree is preferred. Candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree only must have an additional 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and geographies.
- Solid logical and analytical thinking skills, with attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
- Strong expertise in Excel and Power BI is mandatory, with hands-on exposure or readiness to work with VBA, SQL, Python, and other analytical tools.
- Basic project management exposure or skills, including coordination and timeline tracking.
- Prior exposure to space planning or planogramming is an added advantage.
- Experience working with a retailer or manufacturer environment is a plus.
- Understanding of Category Management concepts is beneficial.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, as required to support global project needs.
