Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Technical Assistant – Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) to support drone operations, maintenance, and data collection activities. The ideal candidate should be comfortable operating drones in field environments, assisting with technical setup, and ensuring safe and compliant UAS operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and submit permit applications to the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), and relevant overseas authorities to secure operational approvals
- Coordinate logistics and scheduling for test flights both locally and internationally, ensuring adherence to regulatory and safety standards
- Execute drone operations including conducting pre-flight inspections, planning flight paths, and piloting drones safely and effectively
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable drone operation regulations and safety protocols
- Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to align project activities with timelines and objectives
- Participate actively in company-provided training to enhance skills in drone operations, regulatory compliance, and project management
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Valid Class A (Powered-Lift) pilot license for drone operations is preferred to support flight execution and compliance
- Proven experience in drone operations, project coordination, or related technical fields to contribute effectively to operational success
- Familiarity with CAAS and IMDA regulations, with additional knowledge of overseas regulatory frameworks considered an advantage
- Strong organizational skills to manage complex logistics for permits, test flights, and multi-location coordination
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across diverse teams and external partners
- Adaptability to evolving project requirements, regulatory changes, and dynamic operational environments
- Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are welcomed to support diverse communication needs
