At Version 1, the UK & Ireland’s leading Oracle ERP & Cloud transformation partner, we are looking for a Principal Oracle EPM Cloud Planning Consultant to play a pivotal role in delivering some of the most ambitious planning and performance management programmes across government, public sector, and enterprise clients.
This is more than a delivery role — it’s a strategic leadership position for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, finance, and transformation.

As a Principal Consultant, you won’t just implement solutions — you’ll define how organisations plan, forecast, and make decisions.
You’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior finance leaders, shaping enterprise-wide planning strategies, designing future-state operating models, and leading high-value Oracle Planning Cloud transformations that deliver measurable business impact.
What You’ll Own
Strategic Programme Leadership
You will:
- Lead end-to-end Oracle Planning Cloud transformation programmes — from vision through to optimisation
- Own delivery across multiple workstreams, ensuring quality, timelines, and tangible client outcomes
- Drive governance, risk management, and executive-level reporting
Solution Authority & Technical Excellence
You will:
- Act as the design authority across all aspects of Planning Cloud (PBCS/EPBCS)
- Define best-practice solutions across FP&A, Workforce Planning, CapEx, and operational planning
- Oversee model design, calculations, integrations, Groovy scripting, REST APIs, and automation frameworks
- Assure quality and design integrity across delivery teams
Client Leadership & Advisory
You will:
- Build trusted relationships with CFOs, Finance Directors, and transformation sponsors
- Lead executive workshops and steer decision-making with confidence and credibility
- Translate complex technical solutions into clear, commercially focused narratives
Pre-Sales & Growth
You will:
- Lead high-value pre-sales engagements, proposals, and client presentations
- Shape compelling solution visions and demonstrations
- Support pipeline growth alongside Sales and Practice Leadership
Team Leadership & Capability Building
You will:
- Mentor and develop consultants across the EPM practice
- Influence recruitment, capability strategy, and ways of working
- Champion a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
