SGS is Seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join the FIFO team in Tropicana.

Duties include, however not limited to:

• Ensure the timely and quality analysis of samples.
• Perform sample preparation to a high standard.
• Weigh samples accurately in an efficient manner.
• Maintain daily production numbers.
• Understand and follow laboratory methods and procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the wet laboratory area and associated areas.
• Use appropriate personal protective equipment in the correct manner as required.

Duties include, however not limited to:

• Quality and quantity of samples produced 

• Sample preparation to a high standard 

• Ensure daily production targets are met 

• Maintain a safety aware environment

• On-site Calibration

• Assist the Senior Engineer on day-day Operations and documentation.

Specific responsibilities:

• Assist in fieldwork, calibration, testing, and equipment setup

• Carry out outdoor work at various site locations

• Support senior engineers in project execution and daily operations

• Prepare job-related documentation and reports

• Ensure adherence to safety standards and work procedures

• Perform other engineering duties as assigned
