OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Senior Metallurgist to safely manage, motivate and participate as part of the technical team, to identify and realize aspects associated with ore processing, to maximize gold and copper recoveries; develop testing regimes and analyse data for project work to realize process plant recovery and throughput improvements.

The role will report to the Metallurgical Superintendent.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Conducts investigative and systematic testing for plant recovery improvements, cost reduction and/or plant throughput improvements
• Optimizes reagent usage through continuous coordination with external consultants and suppliers on lab test works and plant trials
• Provides technical support to the Operations department to improve Process Plant performance
• Including process Plant monitoring and troubleshooting
• Leads the metallurgical staff to ensure that the metallurgical laboratory effectively delivers results for Process Operations
• Reports on production by preparing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly statistics as required
• Attends daily Production meetings and weekly or monthly Metallurgy meetings
• Ensures accuracy and timeliness of production reports by utilizing PI and applicable programs with acceptable competency
• Coordinates with other departments effectively and maintains required channels of communication
• Make sure the SOPs are updated according to schedule
• Supports the Safe Behaviors program.
• Covers the role of the Direct Reports and peers when on break or on leave.

OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable to Operator - Water Treatment, to To optimize the water treatment facility requirements with utilization and throughput being obtained and water quality standards are met using sound operating practices, Standard operating procedures, and personnel working in a safe and efficient manner to ensure all are sustainable daily.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all the rules and regulations and other compliance obligations of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Integrated Management System (IMS)
• Always refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) when dealing with reagents and other hazardous substances
• Maintain and monitor the required services for the water treatment facilities by ensuring sufficient supply of reagents for the operation, checking water tank levels, pumps and pipes for any problem and abnormalities
• Assists in conducting routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance and repair needs.
• Double checks accuracy of data being entered into the system regularly.
• Raises issues regarding records and data to immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
• Complete all required Standard Operating Procedures Sign-Off

We are seeking a skilled Processing Manager reporting to the Asset President -Didipio Operations who will oversee our extraction and refining processes, ensuring operations are both efficient and safe. The successful candidate will manage production targets, optimise processes for cost-effectiveness, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. You will lead a highly skilled team covering processing and paste plant operations, metallurgy and water treatment plant. You will support the implementation of new technologies, and troubleshoot issues to maximise productivity while minimising environmental impact. Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and guidance to a specialist team engaged with processing plant operations to:
  • Strengthen the safe work culture through actively leading and supporting Didipio’s safe systems of work.
  • Safely deliver production targets
  • Collaborate closely with the Asset Maintenance Manager in the planning and execution of maintenance activities.
  • Work closely with other operational leaders to develop and execute annual and Life of Mine plans for the business.
  • Evaluate current and potential processing methods and develop innovative and cost-effective operating methodologies to improve and sustain optimum production
• Responsible for managing all aspects of the Processing team, including safety,  performance outcomes, workflow management, reviewing and overseeing tasks, staff administration and professional development, consistent with technical principles and in an environment that is focused on integration, performance, and continuous improvement.

This role reports to the Manager - Process.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Prepare production plans to ensure that the processing plant is operating according to metallurgical guidelines or given set of operating parameters
• Ensure minimal operational downtime by proper execution of shutdown plans and take immediate action to correct at risk conditions that could cause plant shutdown
• Coordinates mechanical electrical personnel equipment utilization with the maintenance, electrical and technical personnel to maximize equipment availability and utilization
• Leads and coordinates with the Training and Metallurgical teams in developing competency-based assessment modules
• Prepare reports and briefs on production, safety, environment, project progress, and more
• Liaises with the Metallurgical Superintendent on a day-today basis to ensure that production objectives are met

Implement and maintain stringent geotechnical designs, systems, and procedures and identify business improvement through problem-solving, innovation, and technology.

As a member of the Geotechnical section, you may occasionally assist other sections to ensure that all major hazards are monitored, reporting is completed, procedures are followed, and information is communicated to the appropriate stakeholders

• Review all geotechnical data to ensure databases are frequently updated and relevant.
• Develop and update the site-specific empirical models through the reconciliation of underground excavations
• Analyze available and/or new geotechnical information and endorse geotechnical designs and plans optimization
• Establish and maintain geotechnical monitoring programs for key areas of interest such as advanced monitoring systems, remote sensing technologies and geophysical surveys, to improve geotechnical monitoring capabilities

• Geotechnical inspections of damage and deformation in surface and underground.
• Collect and record monitoring data as per established monitoring protocols and procedures
• Develop designs, calculations, and analysis for backfill (paste fill and cemented rock fill).
• Validate and manage database for backfill
• Support project teams by organizing meetings, documenting discussions, and tracking action items.
