The Role

The Head of Finance / Financial Controller will drive key parts of Intellect’s finance function, reporting directly to the CEO and VP Finance, and partnering closely with executive leaders and external stakeholders.

At this stage of our journey, Intellect is scaling rapidly while strengthening its financial operations, governance, and reporting infrastructure. This role will play a critical part in ensuring strong financial discipline, accurate reporting, effective cash management, and scalable financial processes to support sustainable growth.

We are looking for a hands-on finance leader with strong controllership capabilities who is comfortable operating across both strategic and operational finance responsibilities. The ideal candidate combines attention to detail with commercial awareness, and is equally comfortable managing monthly closes, improving internal controls, supporting budgeting exercises, and helping leadership make informed financial decisions.

Your Responsibilities

Financial Control & Reporting

Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounting, reporting, treasury, tax, and compliance
Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
Establish and maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance processes
Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk monitoring
Coordinate audits and manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and accounting partners

Financial Planning & Analysis

Lead budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes
Support leadership with financial analysis, scenario modeling, and performance insights
Monitor business performance against budgets and identify risks and opportunities
Improve visibility into operational and financial KPIs across the business

Operational Finance

Drive efficiency and discipline across G&A spending, procurement, and vendor management
Partner with department leaders to align budgets with business priorities
Implement systems, processes, and reporting structures that can scale with company growth
Support finance transformation and automation initiatives where appropriate

Investor & Corporate Support

Support preparation of board and investor reporting materials
Assist with financial due diligence, fundraising support, and data room preparation as needed
Contribute financial insights to support strategic planning and decision-making

Team Leadership & Collaboration

Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing finance team and external finance providers
Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
Partner cross-functionally to improve financial literacy and budget ownership across the organization

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent preferred
8–12 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, ideally across high-growth startups and structured environments
Strong controllership and accounting foundation, including financial reporting, compliance, treasury, and internal controls
Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A processes
Strong understanding of accounting standards, audit processes, and financial governance
Experience managing external auditors, tax advisors, and accounting partners
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Hands-on operator with high attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Experience with multi-entity or international finance operations is a plus

The Role

The Enterprise Delivery Consultant is a key role responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of services for Intellect’s enterprise clients. This position requires a balance of client-facing relationship management and internal operational oversight to ensure that accounts remain profitable, scalable, and aligned with contractual obligations.

The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for strategic partners, driving revenue recognition through milestone achievement while identifying opportunities for account growth. Internally, the role involves coordinating with Product, Operations, and Clinical teams to refine service delivery and maintain the high standards associated with the Intellect brand.

What You'll Do

Strategic Account Management & Revenue Growth

Serve as the primary strategic partner for enterprise clients. Lead regular Business Reviews and cadences focused on account health, ROI, and long-term roadmap alignment.
Develop and execute comprehensive account plans that detail stakeholder engagement strategies, risk mitigation, and clear pathways for revenue growth within the assigned portfolio.
Proactively identify opportunities for service expansion and upselling by aligning Intellect’s evolving business capabilities with the client's long-term objectives. Support the sales team in building business cases for new features or service lines.
Synthesize client feedback into actionable insights for the Product and Tech teams to ensure the Intellect platform evolves with the client's needs.

Operational Excellence & Profitability

Ensure all delivery activities align with project scope and Service Level Agreements.
Monitor account-level profitability. Oversee the billing cycle and invoicing process to ensure accurate and timely revenue collection.
Partner with Operations to ensure operational staffing levels align with contract requirements.

Program Delivery & Brand Advocacy

Supervise the delivery of high-level reporting that highlights the tangible impact of initiatives on the client’s business, strengthening Intellect's brand position.
Coordinate with Marketing to identify success stories for case studies and oversee the implementation of promotional materials to drive user engagement within the client’s organization.
Act as the final point of contact for critical account issues, ensuring swift resolution to maintain brand trust and integrity.

Note on our Stage: As we are in a high-growth phase, this role requires a "Builder" mindset. While 70% of your impact is measured by client success and revenue growth, the remaining 30% involves collaborating with internal teams to build the SOPs and systems that will allow us to scale what we do.

3-8 years of experience in client success, account management, or management consulting, with a strong preference for candidates who have spent time in consulting environments.
Experience in related industries such as healthcare, HR, change management, or employee benefits is a plus.
Proven track record of successful project delivery and account management, including managing large, complex projects and building long-term client relationships.
Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute client-facing growth and engagement strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with both clients and internal stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.

What You’ll Do

Provide 1-on-1 mental health support through onsite and/or virtual sessions for Intellect clients.
Deliver ad-hoc onsite support at the client’s office in Kuala Lumpur, including facilitating group sessions, psychoeducation workshops, webinars, and other wellbeing-related initiatives.
Deliver virtual/onsite critical incident support services as required.
Collaborate with Intellect to enhance client care and programs.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with professional and legal standards.
Maintain high standards of clinical ethics, confidentiality, and professional care.

Minimum Master’s Degree in Counselling / Counselling Psychology / Clinical Psychology with a minimum of 500 supervised hours of clinical experience post qualification (excluding academic placements) and ≥3 years of post-qualification clinical practice.
Registered with appropriate local governing body such as Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia or Malaysian Society of Clinical Psychology
Skilled in Trauma-Informed Therapeutic Approaches (e.g. TF-CBT, EMDR, DBT for trauma survivors, and/or Somatic Experiencing) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or other evidence-based approaches (e.g., Motivational Interviewing, DBT, SFBT).
Experience managing moderate to high complexity cases.
Hold valid and active licenses applicable to the country of practice.
Proficiency in English and Vietnamese.
Prior experience in EAP, therapy/counselling and/or as an in-house wellbeing provider is a plus.

Main Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of key strategic and large enterprise accounts
Own end-to-end delivery of the mental health benefits platform across assigned clients
Develop and execute customised mental health programme strategies aligned to each client’s workforce needs
Build strong, long-term relationships with senior HR and business stakeholders
Drive client satisfaction, retention, and expansion opportunities
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Product, Engineering, Clinical, Marketing, and Delivery teams

Day-to-Day Activities

Client Relationship Management

Conduct regular client check-ins (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
Prepare and present QBRs and impact reports
Respond to client queries, escalations, and operational requests

Manage renewals conversations and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities

Programme Delivery & Project Management

Oversee implementation timelines and onboarding processes

Track project milestones and manage internal follow-ups

Align programme strategy with client organisational goals (e.g., wellbeing, retention, productivity)

Data Analysis & Insights

Monitor utilisation rates, credit consumption, engagement metrics, and CSAT/NPS
Analyse trends and identify risks or growth opportunities
Develop insights and narratives to demonstrate programme impact
Use data to inform renewal and expansion discussions

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Translate client feedback into clear product and operational requirements
Work with Product and Engineering on feature enhancements or fixes
Partner with Marketing on engagement campaigns and communication materials
Coordinate with Clinical and Delivery Ops for service quality and provider matters
Support Sales in enterprise pitches, renewals, and expansion proposals

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

Identify recurring pain points and process inefficiencies
Contribute to internal playbooks, best practices, and reporting frameworks
Proactively suggest platform improvements to enhance scalability and client value

Who You Are

Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related field required. Master's degree would be a plus but not a requirement
Atleast 3+ years of experience in client success/account management/management consulting, preferably in a related industry such as healthcare, HR, change management, or benefits
Proven track record of successful project delivery and account management, with experience managing large, complex projects and building long-term relationships with clients.
Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and execute on a strategic vision for clients.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
Familiarity with mental health benefits and/or related industries is a plus.
