Get to Know the Team
The Marketplace team works with Mobility teams across Southeast Asia to manage driver supply, consumer pricing, and marketplace strategy. You'll dig into data, surface insights, and build solutions that move the needle on business outcomes. The team owns marketplace products and keeps the marketplace healthy and performing well. You'll join a regional setup with primary focus in Malaysia — you'll work with local leadership while stay connected to the broader regional agenda.

You'll own the health and strategic direction of the Malaysia Mobility Marketplace — combining data-driven thinking with business strategy to drive real impact on the ground.
You'll be the go-to person for the Malaysia mobility marketplace, leading the local team while also representing Malaysia in regional conversations.
You will report to our Head of Mobility Marketplace, and you will be based onsite at our Grab Malaysia office.
Key ownership areas include:
- Defining and driving the country strategy for driver-partner supply health, productivity, quality, and retention
- Owning consumer pricing frameworks to grow the business sustainably and profitably
- Leading country-level strategic projects focused on service quality and platform reliability
- Representing the Malaysia mobility marketplace team in both local and regional discussions
- Developing and mentoring the rest of the Malaysia mobility marketplace team
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Define and own the strategic vision for consumer pricing and marketplace mechanics for GrabCar in Malaysia, keeping it aligned with growth targets and profitability goals
- Design and iterate on driver-partner engagement models and incentive structures to drive healthy acquisition, retention, and cost efficiency
- Lead initiatives to improve platform reliability and ride experience, working with cross-functional teams to make things better for both passengers and drivers
- Collaborate with Product and Data Science teams on mobility-related features and algorithms (e.g., dynamic pricing, ride matching, surge) to improve marketplace performance
- Be a thought partner to regional Product teams, helping shape the product roadmap based on what the Malaysia market actually needs
- Monitor marketplace metrics, investigate anomalies, and translate data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Run end-to-end experiments — from design and rollout to analysis — to test and validate new ideas
- Manage, develop, and mentor your team, helping them grow both analytically and strategically
