Job Summary

You will coordinate and follow up on corrective repairs, prepare and fabricate materials, conduct site visits for equipment maintenance checks, and perform general mechanical tasks to support operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate corrective repair requirements with Maintenance Engineer and external workshops to ensure timely resolution
• Read and interpret basic drawings and fabrication instructions to verify raw material dimensions and requirements
• Prepare and cut raw materials to specified sizes and carry out fit-up for fabrication tasks
• Perform simple welding, painting, material cutting, washing, pipe fitting, equipment fabrication, assembly, and grinding to maintain machinery and equipment
• Conduct site visits to inspect machinery and equipment usage and maintenance, compiling photographic reports for management
• Undertake ad-hoc responsibilities assigned by management to support operational needs
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to team members and stakeholders to facilitate understanding and action
• Work independently and collaboratively within a team to meet project deadlines and quality standards
• Manage work under pressure and tight deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards
• Work on weekends and night shifts as required to support operational continuity

• Undertake ad-hoc responsibilities assigned by management
• Coordinate any corrective repair(s) requirements with Maintenance Engineer and follow up action
• Liaise, deal and follow up on corrective repairs with external workshop
• Compile all corrective repairs summary reports, costings and man hours to update management on monthly basis
• Follow up on status of spare parts with warehouse to ensure timely completion of corrective repairs of machineries and equipment
• Conduct site visits and compile pictures for reporting to management to ensure machineries and equipment are being used and maintained correctly on site

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts
• Able to work independently and in a team
• Good interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Able to work on weekend
• Able to work night shift rotation
