Performance Marketing Intern

The intern runs the creative testing pipeline. He/she turns hypotheses into assets, putting them in front of real audiences, and reading what comes back. Core focus is paid user acquisition across multiple digital ad platforms (e.g. Google and Meta), with SEO work filling the gaps between campaign cycles.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys analyzing results just as much as creating the ads that produce them.

This is a 6-month, full-time, in-person, paid role based in our Singapore office, specifically for current pre-uni, polytechnic or university students residing in Singapore.

What the intern will learn:

How performance marketing actually works

Real campaign logic across different digital ad platforms in different markets. How budget decisions get made and why creative is the biggest lever in paid User Acquisition (UA).

How to run a structured creative test

From angle hypothesis to asset production to reading results and briefing the next iteration. By the end of the term, the intern will have a repeatable testing process applicable to any marketing role.

How to connect data to creative decisions

The weekly data-to-creative summary is a deliberate practice; building the habit of translating what numbers say into what to try next.

How to use AI as a working tool

AI gets integrated into day-to-day work for research, drafting, and testing angles with emphasis on directing it deliberately and knowing where human judgment has to take over.

What it's like to market to a global Muslim audience

Muslim Pro reaches hundreds of millions of users across Southeast Asia, Europe, and beyond. The intern develops real sensitivity to how culture, language, and faith shape marketing decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Creative testing pipeline. Research new angles, write briefs, produce upload-ready assets, log every test in the Creative Testing Tracker.

• Weekly data-to-creative summary. Every week, one paragraph: what did the data show this week, and what should be tested next.

• Performance monitoring. Pacing checks, CTR/CPI anomaly flags, test result summaries, then flag and discuss with the lead.

• SEO support. Keyword research, content briefs, and article drafts ready for editorial review, running in parallel with campaign cycles.

Who we're looking for:

Someone self-directed who moves before being asked. When something is underperforming, the instinct is to ask why first, then go find out. Has likely built something independently before, just to see if it would work.

Doesn’t need to know everything. Needs to be someone who looks at marketing that works and marketing that doesn’t, and gets curious about the reasons behind both.

Skills:

• Creative Thinking: Can write a brief that explains why an angle would work, not just describe what the ad looks like.

• Data Literacy: Can read a performance report and explain what's happening; CTR, CPA, CPM, and basic trend-reading.

• Asset Production: Comfortable in Canva or equivalent. Can take a brief and produce an upload-ready visual.

• Organisation: Keeps things documented without being asked. Trackers, logs, and briefs as second nature.

• AI Curiosity: Already using AI tools for research, writing, or problem-solving;  and paying attention to what the tools get right and where they fall short. The interest is genuine, not performative.

• Nice to have: Prior exposure to Google Ads, Meta Ads, or SEO basics.

The intern will experience the full spectrum of marketing at Bitsmedia through a 6-month rotational programme, moving across our three core Agile Pods: Brand & Trust, Acquisition, and Product Marketing & Lifecycle. This is a 6-month, full-time, in-person, paid role based in our Singapore office, specifically designed for fresh graduates, or current pre-uni, polytechnic or university students residing in Singapore.

We’re looking for someone who wants to understand the complete user journey; from building initial brand awareness and community trust, to acquiring new users efficiently, and finally, retaining them. Throughout the next six months, the intern will experience high-impact cross-functional networking through our rotational model, offering direct exposure to our core marketing, data, and product teams.

What the intern will learn:

How to build brand trust and awareness (Pod 1)

Top-of-funnel community engagement and public relations. The intern will learn how to communicate Muslim Pro's transition to the "Digital Home for All Things Muslim".

How to run paid user acquisition (Pod 2)

Middle-of-funnel paid marketing and data analytics. How to spend ad budget efficiently to acquire users, test ad creatives, and track Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC).

How to retain and engage users (Pod 3)

• Bottom-of-funnel user retention. The intern will learn how to reduce friction in onboarding flows and launch campaigns to keep users engaged and subscribed.
• What it's like to market to a global Muslim audience
• Muslim Pro reaches 190+ million users globally. The intern develops real sensitivity to how culture, language, and Islamic faith shape marketing decisions across every stage of the funnel.

Responsibilities:

• Brand & Trust Sprints (Months 1-2). Execute a 2-week social media sprint (e.g., on TikTok) highlighting Qalbox or new features, and manage community interactions to gauge user sentiment.
  
  
• Acquisition & Testing (Months 3-4). Collaborate with the AI Creative Studio to A/B test new ad creatives and build a performance dashboard tracking Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and click-through rates.
  
• Lifecycle Optimization (Months 5-6). Conduct a teardown of the app's onboarding flow to provide actionable suggestions to reduce friction, or launch an A/B tested push-notification campaign to re-engage dormant users.
  
• Capstone Presentation. At the end of the 6-month programme, synthesise your learnings in a formal presentation. You will showcase your portfolio of work how you built brand awareness, acquired users, and retained them to the Strategy & Operations Hub and senior leadership.
  

Who we're looking for:

• Someone self-directed who moves before being asked. Because this program involves switching pods every two months (working in 60-day sprints), you need to be highly adaptable and eager to learn the specific strategies and tools for each pillar. Must be available for a 6-month, full-time, in-person commitment in Singapore.

• Doesn’t need to know everything. Needs to be someone who has a "bias toward action" and the curiosity to figure things out, whether they are analysing a spreadsheet or drafting an in-app push notification. You will be supported by an overarching Internship Manager (Anchor Mentor) for the full 6 months, plus a dedicated Pod Buddy for each rotation.

Basic Skills We’re Looking For:

• Platform Fluency: Basic understanding of social media trends (TikTok, Instagram) and an eagerness to learn digital ad platforms (Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads).
• Data Literacy: An analytical mindset to interpret A/B testing data, read performance reports, and track metrics like CAC and conversion rates.
• Asset Production & Copywriting: Comfortable in Canva, Figma, or CapCut. Can take a brief and produce an upload-ready visual, as well as write compelling emails and in-app messages.
• Organisation: Keeps things documented without being asked. Can effectively manage the transition from the first 30 days of shadowing a pod lead to the second 30 days of pure execution.
• Community Empathy: A strong understanding of the global Muslim community and Islamic values to ensure cultural sensitivity across all campaigns.
• Nice to have: Prior exposure to building community-driven campaigns for university societies, basic knowledge of marketing funnels, or experience using AI tools for research and drafting.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a highly driven and strategic Content & Campaigns Lead to lead the planning, moderation, and execution of impactful content and charity campaigns across our platforms. This role is pivotal in shaping our content ecosystem—from moderation to acquisition—and aligning it with user engagement, brand values, and broader organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

1. Content Governance & Moderation

• Lead the development and oversight of moderation policies, ensuring a safe, respectful, and value-aligned user experience across all platforms.

• Leverage performance data and user insights to continuously refine content for maximum relevance, engagement, and learning outcomes.

3. Content Acquisition & Partnerships

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with external content providers, educators, and scholars to source authentic Islamic content.
• Curate high-quality materials, such as tafsir books, duʿā compilations, and age-appropriate curriculum, ensuring theological integrity and accessibility.
• Identify content gaps and acquisition opportunities to support product growth and audience expansion.

4. Campaign Strategy & Execution (Charity Initiatives)

• Own the end-to-end strategy for seasonal and evergreen charity campaigns (e.g. Qurban, Ramadan, Winter Aid, Palestine Relief).
• Develop annual roadmaps, launch strategies, and thematic narratives that resonate with audience motivations and humanitarian needs.
• Align all campaign initiatives with organizational goals, donor expectations, and real-time global developments.

5. Cross-Functional Marketing Collaboration

• Work closely with Marketing and Creative teams to develop compelling storytelling, messaging, and visual assets for each campaign.
• Ensure campaign narratives are consistent, emotionally resonant, and designed to maximize engagement, conversions, and impact.
• Track campaign timelines, performance metrics, and audience feedback to inform iterative improvements.

6. Revenue Tracking & Strategic Reporting

• Collaborate with the Head of Department to set charity revenue and impact goals for each campaign.
• Lead performance reviews using KPIs such as donor engagement, conversion rates, and fundraising outcomes.
• Prepare insights-driven reports for internal stakeholders and external partners, recommending strategies for future growth.

7. Vendor & Fulfillment Oversight

• Coordinate with logistics partners and local vendors to ensure timely and transparent distribution of aid.
• Implement rigorous documentation, reporting, and verification protocols to uphold accountability and donor trust.
• Work to optimize operational efficiency, balancing cost, quality, and impact.

8. Organizational Alignment & Strategic Collaboration

• Partner with Product, Finance, Operations, and Legal teams to ensure campaigns and content initiatives are well-resourced, compliant, and strategically aligned.
• Champion the organization’s values of transparency, integrity, and compassion in all content and campaign initiatives.

Requirements:

• 5–8 years of experience in content management, digital strategy, or campaign planning, preferably in an impact-driven or educational environment.
• Strong understanding of Islamic content, education, and exposed to charity landscapes.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver measurable impact.
• Excellent strategic thinking, project management, and stakeholder communication skills.
