The Program inTranslational and Clinical Liver Cancer Research is a dynamic enterprise withinthe National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) that conducts cutting-edge clinicaland translational research in primary liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)). Nested within the program is the Secretariat of the Asia-PacificHepatocellular Carcinoma (AHCC) Trials Group. The AHCC Trials Group is acollaborative multi-national research network that spans the Asia Pacific andactively engages in a spectrum of prospective clinical and translation researchstudies that address unmet clinical needs of HCC.
Job Description:
The job is that of asenior research executive/assistant manager/manager managing projects within amature research program in HCC. This role is ideal for a motivated individualwho enjoys thinking and managing projects independently, but also as a teamplayer.
You will be part ofan active research enterprise management team that closely works with otherteams in clinical research coordination, wet laboratory research andbioinformatics. The Program encompasses a wide range of of biomedical researchfrom upstream and translational studies to prospective multi-site clinicalstudies. There will be opportunities to develop a deep understanding of thebiomedical ecosystem, and to work with key scientific opinion leaders, andpharmaceutical and biotech industry partners both locally and overseas. Youwill play a key role in the coordination, execution, and management of complexmulti-site research programs, while developing a strong network of academic,clinical, and industry contacts.
There will also beample opportunities for learning and publication.
Your ResponsibilitiesWill Include:
- Coordinating andengaging various internal and external stakeholders in the management ofmulti-institution and/or multi-national collaborations.
- Initiating andsupporting research activities including (but not limited to) research grantapplications, SOP development, and project budgeting.
- Provision ofnecessary resources that ensure compliance of regulatory/contractual documentsand smooth project operations.
- Organizing andpreparing materials for regular update meetings with collaborators.
- Providing a broadrange of high-level administrative support in planning, organizing and managingresearch-related events (meetings, conferences, seminars), as well as draftingand costing of new proposals.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degreein Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Public Health, Business, or equivalent;An honours degree or Master’s degree will be an advantage.
- Prior workexperience in biomedical research, clinical trials and/or project management inhealthcare, CRO or pharmaceutical organizations will be an advantage but is nota requirement
- Prior exposure toSingapore’s research and grant landscape will be an advantage.
- Excellentcommunication and writing skills.
- Proactiveindividual who has effective interpersonal skills and is able to workcollaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizationand attention to details.
- Ability to multi-task, and possess good time management.
- High proficiency inMS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
