• Plan, organize and carry out project management activities to ensure that assigned projects are executed in a smooth and effective manner to achieve and exceed the cost, quality, timelines, and customer satisfaction objectives;

• Ensure that safety procedures are incorporated in all project activities and take initiatives to promote a safe working culture;

• Review contract documentation in conjunction with B.Q., SOR and material specifications;

• Manage the profit and loss of the project;

• Plan for site mobilization and work execution;

• Prepare work schedules and master programs with relevant parties

• Ensure that progress and other reports are put up in a timely manner as required;

• Monitor project cost budgets and ensure that desired profit margins are achieved through cost containment, material wastage control, etc;

• Ensure project performance through close supervision, site checks, close monitoring of site progress and swift resolution of any quality and work schedule issues;

• Ensure that shop drawings are completed and submissions to the authorities are carried out in a timely manner with the Drafting Department and other relevant external parties

• Attend/Chair project kick-off meetings, daily meetings and progress meetings with clients, consultants and other parties;

• Undertake role as chairman for project safety committee

• Undertake role as approving manager for risk assessment and permit to work

• Perform all safety related roles as mandated/required by legal and other requirements

• Update and summarize all project development performance in monthly management meetings;

• Liaise with suppliers and sub-contractors on contractual and work matters;

• Ensures timely response to consultants’ and all other requests in a proactive and timely manner;

• Provide effective leadership to team members through coaching, mentoring, and motivating on an ongoing basis and ensuring that good teamwork and esprit-de-corps exist in the Project team

• Ensures that all project documentation is maintained effectively including email communication;

• Sets key performance indicators for project team members, tracking, monitoring, and assessing their performance on an ongoing basis

• Any other duties as may be assigned.

-Liaises with suppliers and sub-contractors on contractual matters; "

-Attends project kick-off meetings, ongoing meetings and project closure meetings with clients, consultants and other parties;

-Ensuring that progress and other reports are prepared in a timely manner as required;

-Responding to consultants’ and requests from others in a pro-active and timely manner;"

vi)Liaises with relevant stakeholders effectively to execute the projects in a seamless manner and mitigates any issues that arise;

vii)Assists in ensuring effective compliance of contractual terms and the full and final settlement of project accounts;

Workplace Safety and Health Framework Development and Implementation:

• Manage the implementation of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) frameworks by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct monthly dialogue sessions with EHS team members and ensures convening of monthly corporate EHS meeting
• Design and implement programs to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
• Monitor health and safety metrics, analyzing trends to identify areas for improvement.
• Stakeholder Management
• Develop relationships, engage relevant stakeholders and facilitate alignment of stakeholders’ and project objectives

EHS Strategy and Leadership:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive EHS strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
• Lead and mentor Project teams fostering a proactive safety and environmental culture.
• Provide strategic advice to senior leadership on EHS-related risks, opportunities, and initiatives.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
• Ensure compliance with all EHS regulations, standards and other requirements that the Organization subscribes to.
• Conduct regular audits to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to prevent workplace injuries, illnesses, and environmental harm.

Training and Development:

• Oversee the design of EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and leadership.
• Promote EHS awareness and accountability at all levels of the organization.
• Ensure training programs comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Reporting:
• Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, industry groups, and external stakeholders on EHS matters.
• Prepare and present EHS performance reports to executive leadership and the board of directors.
• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate EHS considerations into business operations.

Continuous Improvement:

• Benchmark organizational EHS performance against industry standards and best practices.
• Drive innovation in EHS practices through the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
• Identify and implement opportunities for cost-effective improvements in EHS programs.
