Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

1.  QMS Maintenance & Continuous Improvement

• Own and manage the end-to-end ISO 13485-certified QMS, including document control, change control, CAPA, internal audits, and management review processes.
• Conduct periodic QMS gap analyses, identify process weaknesses, and drive corrective and preventive action plans.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Manual, SOPs, work instructions, and related controlled documents across all departments.

What you will do:

Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for Research Assistant (Quality Assurance (QA) Executive) in the Clinical Imaging Research Centre (CIRC), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. CIRC is a dedicated molecular imaging research centre. It is equipped with on-site capability for the preparation of PET radiopharmaceuticals in a state-of-the-art GMP-certified facility. CIRC is positioned to support both academic and commercially led clinical research programs, with dedicated clinical imaging facilities area advanced modalities of PET-CT and PET-MRI. Purpose of the post

This role provides QA support across document control, batch record management, training records, supplier documentation, audits, and quality system activities. Responsibilities include maintaining quality registers, tracking due dates and CAPA actions, supporting Bizzmine eQMS document control, checking Batch Manufacturing Records for completeness, and assisting with QA reporting and trending. Also supports GMP training, supplier qualification records, inspection readiness, and maintenance of key controlled documents. QA Engineer (Process Quality Control) is responsible to develop & deploy inspection procedures to ensure conformance of material to be released. Candidates with experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment are encouraged to apply for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for backend semiconductor packaging processes which ball drop, bumping, singulation, back grind and mounting.
• Effectively providing engineering support in order to meet production output, product quality, efficiency, productivity, yield, cycle time and safety requirements.
• Responsible to analyse the process data and identify improvement actions and work on the improvement.
• Drive permanent solutions to resolve chronic process and quality issues.
• Responsible to evaluate new product/material/process during the pilot run and ensure process readiness.
• Responsible for the relevance of the Work Instructions, Control Plan, FMEA & Process Control documents.
• Responsible to prepare the line for internal & external audits and the follow-up actions.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Chemical, or related field).
• Prior experience in semiconductor packaging processes (ball drop, bumping, singulation, back grind, mounting) would be advantageous.
• Experience in process engineering, yield improvement, and quality control.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC).
• Familiarity with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Control Plan, and Process Control documentation.
• Hands-on experience with new product/material/process evaluations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Responsible for following detailed instruction provided by the Manager/Operations Executives of their section.
• Review of job file prior to inspection ensuring that everything is in order.
• Ensure that the operations or inspections are performed in accordance with the approved procedure or standard/method.
• Prepare all necessary tools, instruments and documentation needed to perform inspection.
• Provide guidance to trainee or junior inspectors when on the job.
• Supervise inspection team when required.
• Check with Port Operations, agents and terminals for arrival and berthing status of vessels.
• Check draft field report and organise report before handing over to Operations Executive.
• Assist in daily operations when required.
• Update Operations Executive on daily basic for operation and highlight any problems encountered during inspection.
• Maintenance on equipment and other apparatus used.
• Bring to the attention to superior of any possible discrepancies during inspection and to take preventive measures.
• Adherence to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy by uphold a good safety behavior and exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities at all times to ensure compliance to the HSE requirements.

This is an individual contribution role as a Plating Process Control Engineer in manufacturing engineering operations responsible for monitoring and controlling plating processes to ensure quality and yield targets while implementing process improvements and optimization initiatives. The role encompasses managing plating bath chemistry and refresh schedules, troubleshooting process deviations, conducting statistical analysis to support process changes, and ensuring compliance with contamination control procedures. The engineer is also expected to leverage data analytics and machine learning techniques to establish linkages between Key Process Input Variables (KPIVs) and Key Process Output Variables (KPOVs), enabling predictive process control and data-driven decision making. Key technical competencies include understanding electroplating principles and chemistry, knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, experience with process control systems and data analysis, and familiarity with cleanroom operations and safety protocols. The engineer also participates in FMEA activities, risk assessments, and supports change control processes such as PCN and TECN to maintain operational excellence in plating operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Focal person for plating facilities related issues, ie plating DI water trend monitoring, LPC and  
• contamination 
• Focal person of plating chemical planning and inventory  
• Focal person for plating pretreatment, strip line, filter change and descaling.  
• Monitor and control plating processes to ensure quality and yield targets
• Implement process improvements and optimization initiatives
• Troubleshoot process deviations and implement corrective actions, which include thickness control, anodic protection
• Troubleshoot line to line variation and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with contamination control procedures
• Participating in FMEA activities and risk assessments
• Monitor and improve plating OEE performance
• Implement process optimizations to reduce speed losses and improve efficiency
• Track and analyze OEE metrics to identify improvement opportunities
• Support implementation of process parameter revisions to enhance OEE
• Identify, define, and document KPIVs and KPOVs for plating processes and establish data-driven linkages between them
• Develop and maintain process monitoring dashboards using data analytics tools to visualize KPIV-KPOV relationships
• Apply machine learning models (e.g., regression, classification, anomaly detection) to predict process outcomes and enable proactive process control
• Collaborate with data engineers or IT teams to integrate manufacturing data from equipment and sensors into analytics platforms
• Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and advanced analytics to detect processes that drift and trigger timely corrective actions

• To perform routine baking and laboratory tests on milling, batching, packing sample and raw materials according to the SOP of the testing parameter in a timely, accurate and effective manner.
• To feedback the quality defect or any arising matters to superior promptly for further decision making.
• To perform any other testing as assigned by superior in related to competitor's flour analysis, flour streaming study, complaint, and any other R&D / evaluation.
• To ensure test results are record properly with no error, filing of testing results including graph and other documents are well maintained.
• To ensure safety procedures are observed strictly at all time and to comply strictly with the requirements of HACCP, FSSC 22000, HALAL and Good Laboratory Practice.
• To keep facilities in good condition and promptly report to superior for any sign of equipment defect or breakdown.
• To clean up the place and facility before end of the shift and take part in the 5S activities for the area in-charged.
• To ensure the confidentiality of Company's wheat grist, flour formulations, wheat, and flour quality.
• To strictly follow the company's regulations and policies.
• To participate in MBU1 by contributes to safety observation, improvement idea and 5S activities.
• To comply with the requirements of FSSC 22000 and to support and participate in FSSC 22000 activities.
