ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Welding:

• Preparing, reviewing & qualifying welding procedures (WPS/PQR/WPQ) and ensuring compliance.
• Monitor welding activities and perform visual inspections.
• Coordinate NDT activities (UT, RT, MT, PT) and review reports.
• Ensure weld traceability and maintain welding documentation.

Painting/Coating:

• Review painting/coating specifications and procedures.
• Conduct surface preparation and coating inspections (DFT, adhesion, holiday testing, etc).
• Monitor environmental conditions during application.
• Ensure compliance with standards (SSPC, NACE, ISO 12944)& Project specification.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin
• 8+ years of experience in QA/QC roles in mechanical, welding, and painting.
• Experience in large-scale industrial or oil & gas projects.

Our esteemed client in the Chemical Manufacturing industry is seeking a QC Technician to join their dynamic team:

• Employment Type: Permanent
• Position: QC Technician
• Location: West (Transport provided from designated pickup point)
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5.15pm during the first3 months; thereafter, the schedule will change to a 12-hour MORNING shift from 8am to 8.30pm
• Salary Package: Up to $2,900 + AWS + Bonus

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily Quality Control (QC) testing for raw materials, in-process manufacturing, and recurring inspections.
• Assist in root cause analysis for product complaints and production rejects, review records, and conduct stability studies.
• Support supervisors in meeting Quality Assurance (QA) targets, such as First-Time Right (FTR) and performance indices.
• Assist in upholding ISO 9001 standards, managing documentation, conducting internal audits, and ensuring good laboratory practices.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum a Nitec in a Chemical-related discipline.
• Prior QC experience within a chemical manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
• Possess prior experience in operating lab equipment such as Gas Chromatographs, Differential Scanning Calorimeters, Autotitrators, and Karl Fischer Titrators.
• Comfortable working on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule.

Responsibilities:

· Participate in internal audit engagements of various organisations, to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls through conducting process walkthroughs and documentation testing

· Conduct risk assessments to assess the risk profile and highlight key risk areas for various clients

· Perform compliance reviews related to the relevant legislations, guidelines and internal policies

· Be meticulous and accurate in documenting workpapers based on documents reviewed

· Assist in internal audit planning, execute fieldwork and draft internal audit reports

· Work independently and prepare deliverables (e.g. working papers and reports) under established timelines

Requirements:

· Degree in Accountancy, Computer Science or Information Systems

· Experience in BFSI would be a strong advantage.

· Good understanding of risks and internal controls.

· Experiences in internal audit and SOX engagements

· Possess initiatives, logical thinking and good analytical abilities.

· Certification in CIA would be a plus point.
