Roles & Responsibilities:
Quality Management System (QMS) Maintenance: Develop, manage, and improve the company’s QMS, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Team Leadership & Management : Supervise, train, and mentor QA technicians, FA technicians and QA engineers to ensure consistent adherence to quality procedures.
Auditing and Compliance: Conduct internal audits, assist with external audits, and ensure all processes meet regulatory, statutory, and internal company quality standards.
Process Improvement & Troubleshooting: Identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve production efficiency and quality
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain and update quality documentation, including SOPs and raw data records. Prepare reports on key quality, safety, or operational metrics for senior leadership.
Operational Support: Collaborate with production and engineering departments to maintain product quality from raw material to finished goods.
Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements, particularly in manufacturing sectors.
Qualifications & Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Plastic Technology, Industrial).
Min 3 years of experience in quality assurance/control, with a strong preference for experience in the plastic injection molding industry.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) is mandatory, while certifications in ISO 14001, ISO13485, IATF 16949 are highly desirable
Plastic Molding Knowledge : Deep understanding of plastic materials, injection molding processes, and defect analysis (e.g., sink marks, flash, warping, short shots).
Quality Tools: Proficiency in using Core Tools like PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), SPC (Statistical Process Control) and MSA (Measurement System Analysis).
Metrology: Experience with precision measuring instruments such as CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine), VMS (Vision Measurement System), and Profile Projectors.
Problem Solving: Proven ability to lead 8D analysis, root cause analysis (RCA), and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Management and Soft Skills Team Leadership: Experience in managing inspectors and providing training to subordinates.
Audit Handling: Ability to conduct internal audits and face external customer or certification audits.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to handle customer complaints and coordinate with production/tooling departments.
Data Analysis: Proficiency in interpreting quality data for reporting KPIs to management.
