As a Technician III, Manufacturing Equipment Engineering (Computer Numerical Control Machinist), you are responsible for operating CNC milling machines to produce precision parts, including selecting tools, setting up machines, and monitoring operations to ensure quality and accuracy. The role also involves interpreting technical drawings and performing minor repairs, including troubleshooting programs and equipment issues.
Key Responsibilities and Role Accountabilities:
- Responsible for operating a CNC milling machine to produce precision parts and components.
- Select the correct cutting tools, adjust the machine settings, and monitor the machine during the process to ensure the parts are being produced in the Machine shop.
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
- Do minor repairs, such as repairing faulty programs and machinery.
