Main Responsibilities
Financial Closing & Reporting: Lead the monthly inventory closing process, ensuring all data is accurate and deadlines are met. This includes preparing inventory aging reports and reconciling them with the Trial Balance.
System Integrity: Manage the interface between Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems (Oracle/SAP). Responsible for reconciling quantities and resolving any data discrepancies between these platforms.
Costing & Valuation: Perform Goods-in-Transit (GIT) accruals (freight, duties, etc.), analyze inventory costing, and ensure accurate valuations and impairment assessments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Supply Chain teams to troubleshoot variances, monitor physical stock movements across centers, and support inventory forecasting.
Audit & Compliance: Assist with annual physical stock counts and prepare documentation/schedules for internal and external audit requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant professional qualification.
3+ years of specialized experience in inventory accounting or auditing.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP) and WMS.
Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, data analysis).
Strong grasp of US GAAP and inventory costing methodologies.
High attention to detail, ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
