Job Summary:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient storage, inventory control, shipping, and receiving activities. The role focuses on maintaining safety standards, optimizing warehouse processes, and leading warehouse staff to achieve operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate stock records.
• Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and sales departments.
• Supervise warehouse staff, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and warehouse regulations.
• Conduct regular stock audits and inventory checks.
• Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization.
• Maintain warehouse equipment and coordinate repairs when necessary.
• Prepare operational reports and performance metrics.
• Handle shipping and receiving documentation.
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure timely delivery and dispatch of goods.

Experience

• 3–5 years of warehouse or logistics experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Good knowledge of inventory management systems (WMS/ERP).
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift items when required.

Responsibilities

• Handle the creation and processing of purchase requisitions and orders.
• Identify and engage overseas suppliers, assessing their capabilities, pricing, and reliability.
• Oversee supplier agreements, including contract updates, renewals, and commercial negotiations.
• Coordinate closely with operations and warehouse teams to align on material needs, stock levels, and quality checks.
• Monitor the progress of purchase requests, shipments, and deliveries to ensure they meet deadlines and requirements.
• Review and validate procurement-related documents such as purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices, while liaising with Finance for payment matters.
• Keep detailed and organized records of procurement activities, including costs, timelines, and supplier performance.
• Assist in cost management initiatives by analyzing spending and identifying savings opportunities.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and project requirements.
• Explore and propose alternative suppliers or materials to improve cost efficiency or availability.
• Support the onboarding and performance management of new and existing vendors.
• Analyze inventory data to improve stock planning and enhance procurement efficiency.
