Job Description:

We are currently seeking a freelance interpreter with proven and solid experience in the Gaming industry for English/Japanese to support us in a local video gaming event in Tokyo, Japan from May 18-21, 2026.

• Native Fluency in English and/or Japanese.
• Physically based in Japan (preferably around the Tokyo area, or willing to travel by train)
• Fully available from May 18-21, 2026.
• Possess a professional track record in interpreting, particularly in the gaming industry.
• Strong familiarity in video games.

As the PR Specialist for Japan, you execute the Japan market’s PR strategy in alignment with global direction and business goals. You work closely with the NEA PR Manager to strengthen brand visibility, reputation, and engagement across Japan through impactful media communications, events, and influencer collaborations.

The PR Specialist, Japan reports to the NEA PR Manager in Korea.

What you will do:

• Implement localized PR strategies aligned with global direction and seasonal priorities.
• Coordinate with regional teams to ensure cohesive storytelling across all channels.
• Pitch and secure coverage with top-tier fashion, lifestyle, and business media.
• Draft press releases, media alerts, and content that reflect COS’s brand voice.
• Identify and manage relationships with influencers, stylists, and editors.
• Execute influencer collaborations and ensure authentic brand representation.
• Plan and deliver press days, media events, and brand activations with precision.
• Oversee logistics, vendor coordination, and on-site execution for seamless experiences.
• Track media coverage, influencer performance, and campaign ROI.
• Prepare clear, data-driven reports for local and regional stakeholders.
• Work closely with Marketing, E-commerce, Retail teams and JP PR agency to amplify PR stories across touchpoints.
• Maintain smooth communication flow with local and regional teams.
• Manage and optimize PR campaign budget allocation to maximize media impact and ROI.
• Evaluate agency performance and ensure campaign execution aligns with company goals.

About the role

The ideal candidate will have experience in Digital Media and Localization project management, coupled with a good understanding of current and new technologies and workflows. In addition, the candidate will be highly motivated and able to work in the Client Operations team in Japan.

1-year contract to start with - potential for extension

• Managing multiple localization projects from client order to delivery completion

• Direct experience in localization, media industry and post-production workflows
