Responsibilities
Advocacy
· Develop, lead, and monitor the implementation of advocacy strategies and plans in Rare Diseases, Global health & One Health areas
· Identify, initiate, and manage strategic relations with key stakeholders at government, public and private sectors, and civil society in specific countries such as India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan,
Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Switzerland, Germany, Austria
· Identify key external events and opportunities critical for engaging and influencing target stakeholders
· Lead the development of campaign assets (reports, infographics, videos, etc.) supporting the
advocacy strategy
· Identify potential partnership with coalitions, organisations, trade bodies, corporates relevant to goals and objectives.
Scientific Communication
· Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, scientific publications, and
studies)
· Write clear content as pre-story boards prior to assets’ design and production; e.g., e-detailers,
videos, infographics, approve emails, KOL interviews, case studies, social
media posts for digital campaigns, etc.
· Proofread and edit content before publication
· Crosscheck scientific/medical claims and edit literature style
· Submit work to editors for input and approval
· Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate content
· Ensure all-around consistency (style and tone-of-voice)
Events
· Planning of events from start to finish according to briefs’ requirements, timeline, target
audience, and objectives (event management)
· Manage event staff and ensure compliance with national and international obligations & regulations
· Use and implement content in event tech platforms to:
o Source and liaise with vendors and suppliers
o Boost the participants' experience (registration, communication, on-site check-in)
· Communicate with attendees (delegate management) prior and during events
· Prepare an event brief, timeline, and report
· Interact with customers and clients
· Come up with suggestions to improve our events and intervene to solve any problems that may
arise
· Participate in promotional actions on social media and websites (community management) by curating and
editing content
Desired skills
· Project management & advocacy expertise at the international level, with a minimum of 12 years of experience
· Knowledge and experience of the healthcare and global development sector and associated best
practices
· Proficient in MICE-relatedevents and Med Comms industry
· Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including at the highest levels of decision-making
· Special attention to customer service, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work
· Strong computer skills; proficiency in MS Office (incl. spreadsheets and slide decks)
· Experience with event tech and collaborative platforms is an asset
· Highly motivated, resourceful
· A knack for problem-solving and troubleshooting
· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet agreed deadlines
· Involvement in team spirit & synergy - happy to take instructions but also able to work independently
and proactively if necessary
· Availability to work remotely and according to the events’ requirements and calendars, up to 1
business trip per month to Europe / South & Central Asia
· Fluency in English; Good writing and copy-editing skills in English. Fluency in German / French /
Spanish / Russian highly desirable for interaction with European & Central Asian customers.
