Job Description:

We are seeking a creative Visual Communication & Marketing Intern with an interest in niche fragrances. This role focuses on translating scent into visual storytelling and strengthening the consumer experience both online and offline.

As fragrance cannot be experienced digitally, you will help communicate the essence of our products through thoughtful visuals, content creation, and marketing initiatives. Your work will support brand awareness, deepen consumer understanding, and contribute to sales growth.

Responsibility:

• Visual Communication:

Develop creative and visually compelling content that communicates the unique qualities and stories behind Scent Journer fragrances.

Translate scent concepts into visual narratives that help consumers imagine and understand the fragrance experience.

Including photography, AI, graphics, and short-form videos.

• Offline Experience:

Assist in developing packaging concepts, point-of-sale materials, and physical brand collaterals.

Support visual presentation for events, product launches, and retail displays.

• Creative Marketing Initiatives:

Contribute ideas for lean marketing campaigns, collaborations, and storytelling concepts that build brand awareness and drive sales.

Support initiatives that improve product presentation and average order value, including visual merchandising and product bundles.

Requirements:

• Strong interest in branding, visual storytelling, and niche fragrances.
• Ability to create visual content (photography, design, or short-form video).
• Strong sense of aesthetics, composition, and brand consistency.
• Creative thinker with the ability to contribute marketing ideas.
• Proactive and able to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• Chinese language proficiency is highly preferred.
• Experience creating content for XiaoHongShu is a strong advantage.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Supports on the day-to-day operation of the client account including client presentations, gaining internal and external creative concept approval, and executing flawless delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Development of integrated creative and media strategies to plans that drive a range of business outcomes, from brand awareness to conversions.
• Works with photographers, designers and external partners to deliver best-in-class campaigns on time.
• Driving media excellence across the team, while keeping up to date with the digital media industry and platforms to identify new opportunities that can be used to improve strategy.
• Be involved in content ideation and brainstorming sessions. Devise creative and inspiring concept and work based on the client’s initial brief
• Create and participate in multimedia content that is aligned with the brand’s tone and messaging as required, not limited to writing, copywriting, pre-production, photography, design, and talenting if suitable
• Facilitates the communication between agency, client and our partner agencies
• Create briefs, drafting content calendar, copywriting to scheduling and posting of content
• Deploy ads and daily monitoring of performance for clients
• Community management of social media profiles for clients
• Prepare reports and attend client meetings
• Coordinate and attends shoots to ensure client approval and satisfaction

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualise and plan editorial content in consultation with Supervising Editors 

• Maintain a strong focus on contextualising stories for an Asian audience, in line with CNA’s mandate to help people Understand Asia 

• Monitor news wires, global media and online sources to identify top stories in Asia and beyond, ensuring key developments are not missed 

• Build rundowns for hourly bulletins, assigning stories to editors and producers 

• Edit scripts to maintain a high standard of English and broadcast news writing, adhering to Mediacorp’s editorial standards and the CNA Style Guide 

• Write compelling news scripts that integrate graphics (including augmented reality), visuals and soundbites to tell engaging, relevant stories 

• Train and develop proficiency in desktop video editing software 

• Break news quickly, accurately and responsibly 

• React swiftly to developing stories, updating scripts and rundowns to reflect the latest developments 

• Demonstrate composure and clear communication in high-pressure, live production environments, taking instructions from supervisors and cascading them to the team 

• Work effectively with producers and studio production teams during live newscasts and special programmes, ensuring seamless coordination 

• Collaborate closely with other editorial units, including the International Desk, Singapore Desk and Digital Desk 

• Stay informed of global news trends, competitor activity and audience insights to enhance editorial output 

• Ensure compliance with regulatory policies and guidelines, advising producers and presenters on adherence and best practices

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies or Arts & Social Sciences 

• Minimum seven years’ experience in journalism or a media-related field 

• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken; second or third languages a plus 

• Deep interest in international news and current affairs
