RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position is for Lee Kong Chian School of Business (LKCSB).
• Programme & Academic Administration
  • Manage end-to-end student lifecycle processes, from matriculation to graduation
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, academic calendars, programme schedules, and dissertation milestones.
  • Oversee academic administration, including course setup, registration, records management, and workshop logistics.
  • Ensure smooth and timely delivery of classes, workshops, and programme activities.
  • Manage programme budgets, forecasting, student financial matters, and instructor payment processes.
  • Support accreditation and compliance-related activities.
  • Serve as a primary liaison for students, faculty, Academic Directors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate student engagement initiatives, including orientation, networking events, and programme milestones.
• Support Team on Grading & Academic Processes
  • Support the PD Team in the administration and oversight of grading processes across programmes and workshops.
  • Manage grading timelines, communications, and follow-ups to ensure timely submission by instructors and students.
  • Verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance of grade submissions in accordance with academic policies.
  • Address discrepancies and ensure adherence to grading standards and guidelines
  • Maintain clear documentation of grading processes for reporting and quality assurance.
  • Generate regular and ad hoc reports to support academic monitoring, decision-making, and compliance requirements.
• Systems & Process Management
  • Administer academic processes within institutional systems, ensuring data integrity, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Manage system-based operations, including student enrolment, course registration, grading, and academic records.
  • Update and maintain student and programme records as required.
  • Monitor system workflows to identify bottlenecks, errors, or inconsistencies, and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency through best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve system-related issues and optimise functionality.

  • Support special projects, events and initiatives that align with the programme's long-term goal.

• Bachelor's degree with at least 4 to 6 years of relevant working experience, preferably in an educational setting.
• Prior experience relevant to this position or acquired in an Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) will be advantageous.
• Strong operational and systems management capabilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in academic and grading processes.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities effectively.
• Proactive in identifying process improvements and driving efficiency.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Proficient in AI Tools and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and video conferencing tools;
  • Familiarity with analytical tools such as Power BI would be an advantage.
• Willingness to work on weekends and weekday evenings when required.
• A proactive, independent team player with flexibility to perform ad-hoc duties as needed.

The AHP Head (Plans & Professional Development) is responsible for steering clinical standards and practice guidelines for AHP service delivery. S/He oversees clinical innovation and leads the development of new clinical services and programmes. S/He uplifts professional practices and leads professional development initiatives. S/He develops and implements frameworks to support quality clinical supervision and professional learning in the department. S/He also partners with clinical specialists and external organisations to translate research into new or improved clinical practice.

An expert in the field of professional practice with strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and inspire staff across various clinical disciplines, the AHP Head (Plans & Professional Development ) is dynamic, innovative, resourceful and systematic.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Build professional partnerships and collaborations

• Lead collaborations with organisations and ministries to advance professional practice and clinical services.
• Provide consultancy and specialist expertise to other organisations, relevant professionals and at national or international projects and conferences.

Drive client care and service excellence

• Drive evidence-based practices that align with emerging trends in specialty areas of clinical services.
• Assess gaps in clinical practices.
• Lead the development and implementation of new clinical services, assessment techniques and intervention strategies based on current trends and evidence.
• Design quality improvement projects to improve client care and clinical services at the organisation and/or department level.
• Guide the holistic management of clinically complex cases taking into consideration multi-disciplinary perspectives.

Maintain professional, legal and ethical standards

• Develop implementation frameworks for professional standards in clinical, legal and ethical practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

SMU Libraries seeks a collaborative, proactive, and knowledgeable professional for the role of Senior Librarian, Law. The position holder will be part of the Instruction and Learning Team and will serve as the primary subject librarian for the Yong Pung How School of Law (YPHSL). The role focuses on course-integrated instruction and out-of-classroom learning, and on providing specialized legal research support to faculty, students, and researchers across LLB, JD, LLM, and PhD programmes.

• The position holder will be part of the Instruction and Learning Services Team will provide support to the team of Librarians/Senior, manage core programmes, and contribute to unit activities in general, such as:
• Align, connect, and partner with the YPHSL community and key stakeholders to provide services focusing on Instruction (Course-Integrated) and Learning (Out-of-Classroom Learning).
• Create, coordinate, and conduct formal learning opportunities (workshops, research skills sessions, etc.) in collaboration with YPHSL faculty to develop students' legal information literacy capabilities and integrate legal information literacy into LLB, JD, LLM, and PhD courses and programmes.
• Work with Head (Instruction and Learning) and team members to develop strategies for embedding legal information literacy into student learning across the school.
• Deliver instruction on legal research methods, covering the structure and hierarchy of primary sources (case law, legislation, treaties) and secondary sources across Singapore, Commonwealth, and international jurisdictions.
• Guide students in selecting and using legal databases including Westlaw, LexisNexis, Lawnet, and HeinOnline for research across different jurisdictions and subject areas.
• Provide interventions across the student research cycle, covering research strategies, source evaluation, research consultations, and reference management.
• Review and assess instructional programmes as part of continuous improvement.
• Design, develop, and deliver out-of-classroom learning programmes on legal research skills for the YPHSL community.
• Conduct training needs assessments to develop learning activities focused on legal research tools, citation conventions, and information literacy.
• Support faculty research through reference management guidance, grey literature identification, and curated resource discovery across Singapore, Commonwealth, and international legal sources.
• Partner with stakeholders to curate events and activities that foster legal research discovery and professional skills development.
• Manage legal collections and resources that support curricular and co-curricular programmes at YPHSL.
• Develop and lead student engagement and outreach library services in collaboration with library colleagues and university partners to support and advance student success initiatives.
• Serve as liaison librarian to YPHSL, modelling best practices and performing all duties of a liaison librarian, including collection development, instruction, and outreach.
• Lead and/or participate in Libraries-wide initiatives and projects and collaborate with colleagues internal and external to the Libraries.
• Engage in continuous, self-reflective professional development. Participate in professional activities relating to librarianship. Contribute to the profession through writing and presenting in a variety of contexts.

• Master's degree in library and information science from a recognized university with a minimum of two years' working experience in an academic or law library would be advantageous
