Role Summary
We are seeking a LTSA (Long Term Service Agreement) Service Engineer to serve as Huawei’s on-site technical authority for our Smart String Energy Storage System (ESS) . You will be embedded at the customer’s facility, acting as the single point of contact for all technical matters under the LTSA. Your mission is to maximize system availability, ensure contractual compliance, and drive operational excellence for Huawei’s BESS solution, including battery cabinets, PCS, SACU, EMS.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational & Technical Oversight
- System Monitoring & Maintenance: Perform daily health checks, condition monitoring, and preventive maintenance on Huawei’s BESS components, including battery packs, Power Conversion Systems (PCS), Smart Array Controller Units (SACU), and thermal management systems.
- Fault Diagnosis & RCA: Lead root cause analysis and emergency troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Quickly resolve key live network problems and prevent recurrence.
- Outage Management: Execute scheduled overhauls, component replacements, and firmware upgrades in strict accordance with Huawei’s OEM technical manuals and LTSA scope.
2. LTSA Compliance & Performance Management
- Contractual Adherence: Ensure all maintenance activities align with LTSA terms, including response times (e.g., 30 min for remote support), performance guarantees, and warranty conditions.
- KPI Tracking: Monitor, analyze, and report on key performance indicators such as system availability, round-trip efficiency, and mean time to repair (MTTR). Utilize Huawei’s digital O&M tools for proactive inspection and health reporting.
- Spare Parts Management: Coordinate the RMA process for faulty components, manage consignment stock (if applicable), and ensure just-in-time delivery of critical spares like PCS modules or battery packs.
3. Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Technical Liaison: Act as the primary interface between the customer’s operations team.
- Reporting: Issue daily operational logs, monthly performance reports, and technical service bulletins. Conduct routine customer meetings to review system performance.
- Training & Handover: Provide on-site theoretical and practical training to customer personnel, including safety operations and maintenance certification as per Huawei standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Renewable Energy, or Automation.
- Experience: 1-2 years of field service experience is good. Similar working experience with Battery Energy Storage System is a strong advantage. Fresh grad with proactive learner attitude is welcome.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of BESS components: Lithium-ion battery characteristics, PCS topology, EMS, and thermal management.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting inverters, battery racks, and control systems (SACU/SPPC).
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, P&IDs, and single-line diagrams.
- Familiarity with digital O&M platforms (e.g., Huawei FusionSolar) is highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, cross-cultural communication, and report-writing skills.
