Roles & Responsibilities

· Assist Project Manager and his deputy on day-to-day management, site technical/ engineering matters and authority submissions.

· Prepare method statements, monthly progress claims measurement and reports.

· Co-ordinate with sub-contractors and consultants.

· Ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the Project Quality & Safety Plan, contract requirements, including drawings and specifications

· Supervise and monitor projects are carried out in accordance to company’s operating procedures, quality standards & contractual specifications.

· Interpret engineering documents and drawings for field personnel

· Ensuring environmental, safety and health practices are carried out at all times.

· Perform other duties / tasks as assigned by immediate superior or Head of department.

Requirements

· Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering recognised by Professional Engineers Board or qualification acceptable by Commision of Building Control for registration as Resident Engineer

· Min. 3 year work experience in Local Civil Engineering projects

· Proficient in MS Office

· Strong and clear communication skills with proven ability to engage others

· Organised, meticulous with positive work attitude

· Able to work independently and a team player

The Planning Engineer is responsible for preparing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, progress reports, and forecasts to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements.

Job Scope:

• Develop, monitor, and update project schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera).
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and site teams to gather relevant data for planning and progress tracking.
• Prepare progress reports, manpower histograms, resource allocation charts, and project status presentations.
• Identify potential delays or risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Ensure project timelines are aligned with contractual milestones and client requirements.
• Assist in preparing extension-of-time (EOT) claims, delay analysis, and recovery schedules if required.
• Monitor procurement, subcontractor schedules, and interface activities.
• Support management with forecasting, cash flow projections, and performance reviews.
• Maintain proper documentation of schedule updates, baselines, and revisions.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board or BCA.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in Construction.
• Proficiency in project planning software (Primavera).
• Strong knowledge of project management principles, scheduling techniques, and resource planning.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiar with Singapore Codes and Practices
