The role

As a Support Engineer, you will be the first line of contact for clients needing technical assistance and will also support operational tasks. f. Own the technical operations posture for the platform, ensuring availability and resiliency, monitoring and observability, incident response, and compliance with IT/security and data protection requirements.

h. Identify technology innovations and engineering improvements to continuously enhance the product/platform and drive measurable business value.
i. Define success metrics (KPIs) and track outcomes (e.g. adoption, performance, reliability, supportability), and drive delivery towards measurable results.
j. Provide technical leadership to review vendor proposals/solutions in outsourced or co-sourced environments, ensuring architectural alignment, quality, security, and delivery readiness.
k. Define, govern, and enforce architecture and technical design standards through design/code reviews, reusable patterns, and decision records.
l. Guide triage and resolution of complex technical issues, stepping in hands-on (including coding) for critical cases, and drive post-incident reviews with preventive actions.
m. Review and ensure effective troubleshooting and performance optimisation of applications and drive proactive refactoring to reduce technical debt and improve maintainability.
n. Drive technical documentation and knowledge sharing; mentor engineers through design guidance, code reviews, and pairing, and advocate engineering best practices (version control, automated testing, quality standards).
o. Ensure effective DevOps practices are in place (CI/CD, monitoring/alerting, release automation) and review test automation approaches to improve delivery quality and speed.

Logistics

• The Product Manager (Technical) will report to a designated Reporting Officer.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Own end-to-end delivery for trading platform initiatives (e.g. new features, regulatory changes, migrations, resiliency improvements), ensuring scope, timeline, cost, and quality objectives are met.
• Manage stakeholders across business, vendors, and regulators, translating business and operations requirements into executable delivery plans.
• Drive risk, issue, and change management with a strong focus on production stability, peak market hours readiness, BCP/DR, and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure governance and execution rigor, including RAID tracking, executive reporting, milestone reviews, and adherence to SDLC / Agile delivery standards.
• Coordinate releases and dependencies across OMS, market connectivity, risk, middle/back office, and infrastructure teams to avoid trading disruption.
• Organise and facilitate meetings, workshops, and project touchpoints.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) preparation, migration, rollout activities, and post-implementation tracking where applicable.
• Take post-implementation accountability by driving defect resolution, production incident reviews, and continuous improvement of platform delivery and controls.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 3–5 years of project management experience, preferably in online trading platforms or financial services, covering initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
