The client provides RE, RTO, and PE Assignee supervision services, project management consultancy, and structural investigations including periodic structural and facade inspections.
Job Summary
You will ensure smooth and efficient execution of LTA/HDB construction projects by monitoring progress, enforcing quality and safety standards, and coordinating technical resolutions to deliver compliant and successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site inspections to monitor construction progress and verify quality of work against approved plans
- Enforce adherence to safety regulations and guidelines throughout construction activities
- Review and approve construction drawings, materials, and method statements to ensure compliance with project specifications
- Coordinate with QPS team, contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues promptly
- Maintain detailed records of site activities, including daily reports, progress updates, and quality control measures
- Verify that all works conform to approved drawings, specifications, and contractual agreements
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams to facilitate successful project delivery
- Identify and report discrepancies, non-conformances, and irregularities to the QPS team for corrective action
- Collaborate with authorities and agencies to secure necessary approvals and permits for construction activities
- Participate in site meetings, inspections, and audits to ensure compliance with project requirements
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
- Certification as a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) by BCA/IES/ACES
- Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and construction practices
- Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and regulations
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with contractors and stakeholders
- Willingness to work on-site, including irregular hours and weekends if required
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Relevant experience in construction supervision, preferably in civil engineering projects
- Prior experience with HDB BTO/LTA projects
